Not that I mind how it is now.. but were they not going to add back the "auto-attack" option that got left out of the final console versions?

The post game save starts you at Hawke's estate. You can't go anywhere though. It's basically just to keep the game "open" for any DLC coming down the pipe.

Motherfucking THANK YOU. Hopefully this means they won't have unlimited health and mana anymore either.

How in God's name did all those things make it through testing?

Do we ... you know what? I can't honestly even make a joke about us testing it out for company's and getting a patch later. They literially are doing that right now.

If it was me, I'd be demanding a refund if a game has that many problems that should've been cleared before launch.

Honestly, I think it's hit and miss. I've played through (almost) twice and haven't experienced any major bugs aside from being unable to complete “Who Needs Rescuing”.

Don't you remember the days of games with super shit glitches that often made them unplayable. Be thankful patches exist nowadays.

Did any of you catch the rumor going around last week that DA:3 will have mutiplayer? As someone who tends to shy away from online multi, I sure hope not. Don't want them to waste time on that instead of an epic story.

The rumor had no sources or anything, though, so let's hope it was just a rumor.

It's very linear.. which sucks. I tried to do a second campaign as another character but couldn't bring myself to get past the intro as I knew things would just turn out the same except with a chick instead of a dude as Hawke.

Origins is still the best in my opinion. I was thinking of restarting a campaign in that too but got sidetracked by restarting Fallout 3.

I'm playing the first DA game. What are some good ways to level up? I'm at level 11 and I'm losing fights against groups that out number my party.

I'm using the main character, that weird humanoid character, Morrigan, and the rogue character primarily.
Does mapping the buttons affect the characters I'm not playing with during the battles?

The biggest thing I found to do is focus on any spell casters first if you're not already. They'll rip you apart. Fast.

Levelling up.. just try to do as many side quests as you can. I'd even concentrate on some of them before proceeding with any of the main story, if you can. There are quite a few that you will lose access to if you get to far into the story.

Mapping the buttons should have no effect on the AI of your partners. All of that is taken care of in the Tactics tab. FYI with tactics, make sure you add a line for mana and health with your partners if it's needed. The mana potion doesn't come as a preset tactic so most of the time you're waiting for your mage to recharge their mana so they can cast another spell. If you set it to say, "if Mana/Stamina <10% then drink mana potion" then you should be good.

It's not as refined as Dragon Age 2, but it does it's job for the most part. You just really have to pay attention to the order you put them in and make sure you're not creating any bizarre loops that will cause your partner to just stand there switching from melee to ranged and not actually attacking anything. took me a while to figure out why I was getting murdered so often when I first got the game. ;)

Here are the Achievements for the first DLC - no idea on rumored release date.

There are 5 achievements in all, totaling 120 points.

Conductor: Defeat an ancient evil in the Vimmark Mountains. – 30G
Deep Roads Safari: Kill a genlock, genlock alpha, hurlock alpha, bronto, and deepstalker in the Vimmark Mountains. – 15G
Family Legacy: Apply three effects to Hawke’s Key. – 30G
Family Outing: Complete the main quest in the Vimmark Mountains with Bethany or Carver in the party. – 15G
Tower Sweeper: Complete every side quest in the Vimmark Mountains prison tower. – 30G

New location, which is nice.

Another question: My main warrior character has the poison making trait. I made venom with him but I don't know how to apply it to his weapons.

You just open the radial menu and go to Poisons and use it. It'll automatically add it to the weapon of the character you're currently using. :)

I just remembered, I gave him trap making instead of poison making. I think one of the mages has poison making.

That should be fine. Once the poisons are created you can use them with any of your characters. :)

Ok I check. Leilana has a level 1 poison making. I made venom with her but there seems to be no way to add it to weapons.
Also, on the quest screen, you can mark quests as active but I don't see any difference in how the game behaves (ie the map doesn't change indicators on where I should go.)

Hmmm, that sounds weird to me. I haven't played it in a while.. but I'm fairly certain that once you make the venom it gets slotted with all of your other potions and then any of your other characters can access it via the potions area in the radial menu. Is it on the "next page"? There are arrows on the left and right if you have more potions than what can display on one radial dial.

The active quest thing, I think for the most part just gives you the messages on the HUD about what you need to do next.

I was destroying everyting....until act III. No I'm stugga-ling nasty against bosses like the High Dragon and Hybris. May have to change my team up or something since I dont have a damage-dealing mage. The elf broads life is just too small to keep her out there though or she gets raped with fury.

That's strange. I gave her the rock armor buff and she basically blasted the shit out of everything with little trouble. Her health is crap though. I would recommend if you're a warrior to have another warrior to get aggro and an archer for picking off mages and enemy archers. That lets you jump in the pileup on your party warrior until something inevitably pops up behind your party or leaks past him/her and you can break off and bail out your mage.

Did you know this game is ten times harder if your characters aren't equipped properly? Actually, I'm having trouble getting descent armor for my mages because they don't have a lot strength.
