In what will come as a shock to nobody, Red One is getting bad reviews. I was going to post this in the bad movies thread, but I decided to do so here because 1.) some critics particularly seem to take umbrage with Dwayne's performance (or as the Guardian puts it: "bronto-head Dwayne Johnson weighs down Santa kidnap comedy") and 2.) again, this is the movie that ended up costing $50 million more because of his tendency of either being late or not showing up.

THe way he just casually owns up to the piss thing is funny. The rest of the article makes him come off better than anything else has in ages. He comes off as weirdly out of touch still but there's some selfawareness.

Violent Night did the R rated Santa gorefest two years ago and people liked that one. I was annoyed by the comedy throughout though. Just not my thing, but David Harbour made for a great Santa.
