Jesus this Ubisoft press conference starting out, is the most boring thing ever. Do we really need a 30 minute summary of what the hell Avatar is? Because I for one don't care.

This is made even worse by the fact that the other conferences actually came right out of the box with useful information, and actual gameplay and trailers.

That's Ubisoft for ya! They've really gone downhill in recent years, they've almost become the new EA!

I watched the Microsoft presentation today and I thought they did a pretty good job. It was weird starting off with a game that is on other consoles...but when you can get the living Beatles on stage I guess you do that. Also the game looks good.

I was suprisingly interested in the new Halo offshoot game. In fact, most of the games they showed looked good (and I too am pumped about Crackdown 2 finally being a reality)... When you add in all the games they talked about with the games (read: sequels to good games) that we already knew would be talked about in other company's time (Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, Assassins Creed 2) the software looks strong.

Then we came to the motion camera thingy... I am not a fan of these experimental advancements...but if they can get that thing to work anywhere near as good as it did when they demoed it... It was actually pretty damn interesting/awesome looking. I would paint the fuck out of that program.

Oh, and there's a closed-off area of their booth covering something that they don't want people to see. It clearly is the Super Mario Bros. logo, but is that the word "Wii" next to "Bros."? We'll know in a half a day!

LEGO Harry Potter?

Really?

Really?!

The only shocking thing is it took them this long to make.

Oh my god I'm marking out over the SMB logo and my hopes are ready to be shattered I don't know what to think oh god either it says Wii or those are some cruel wrinkles

I really would have enjoyed if they'd have had 4 player Mario back when I was sitting in college getting stoned and playing Mario Party all day.

Couldn't they have gotten someone other than this woman who makes me want to take a nap to run this conference?

New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii sounds cool. I guess it's SOMETHING even if Nintendo is just porting a 3 year old DS game to the console with extra playable characters. Now, how about a new Zelda?!?!?!

It's not a port, it's a sequel. I think. I HOPE

Hey, Golden Sun! I was just thinking about this series the other day! I always knew it would be back.

Whats with all the Facebook whoring amongst games consoles now? Is Facebook really THE #1 thing on the internet? Still, Warioware DIY has me interested, but then all those game creation kits do.

This year's theme: We're too lazy to make games. Make your own, here's your tools.

It's the #4 thing on the internet.

Oh man I hate when Iwata talks. It's always BLAH BLAH BLAH and he goes on forever before showing anything.

The best part was that she spent a couple minutes pimping how good the game creation tools were...then immediately stated that most people won't use them because they won't do as well as professional designers.

What a cunt.

Beats last year's theme of "we already released Smash Bros, have nothing else to offer". On the subject of yesterday's Ubisoft conference. They need to get another person to do their conferences for now on. That guy had the personality of toast. I still haven't seen as big of a douche as Microsoft's J. Allard. I remember him shaving his head, getting an ear ring, and doing his conferences sitting on the floor to try to look hip and edgy.

Traditionally games have been developed to excite and stimulate, "But in the future they may be used to make you relax and even fall asleep." Doing a good job so far.

Surprised that woman didn't present it, as most male gamers think she's a fucking goddess. She's not bad, and certainly not bad by computer game terms, but she's also annoying as fuck.

EDIT: Actually, now my excitement has died down... didn't they release this game 2 years ago? Now they've re-released it but with a Yoshi to ride? Nintend'oh!
