When did Giantbomb become a "major" site anyways? I was always under the impression that they were a humor site, that had video game content, instead of a major video game news site. Maybe I'm wrong, and I just think that because the humor stuff is the only content on there I watch?

If the shocking success of Just Dance has shown me anything, Dance Central is going to be one of the top Kinect sellers.

I'm not completely sold on Kinect, but I'd buy it over a Wii.

One thing I noticed watching the EA presentation when they were showing their active 2 or whatever it's called...they showed it running on the Wii, the Move and Kinect...and it looked a million times smoother and better on Kinect.

But again...it's not something I have any interest in playing. It speaks to the technology...but they aren't exactly implimenting it in ways that interest me. Which was to be expected I guess. It's not really made for people who play the games that I enjoy, more to try and attract the people who like Wii. The problem there is that if they don't already own a 360 it will cost them 450 bucks before they even buy a game. And if they want to get the people that do have a 360 to drop the extra 150 for Kinect they need to offer things that aren't just Wii games without the controller.

I love the tech. I just don't think I'd play any of these Wii-esque games more than a little while. Which, after all, is why I don't own a Wii.

I think the Kinect has the potential of putting out higher quality games than the Wii simply because developers will have a lot more freedom since they won't have to worry about controller input AT ALL. Opens up the possibilities.

I also heard that they are dropping the existing models down to $149 (Arcade) and $249 (Elite). I might pick one of these babies up next year (or maybe even at Christmas if there are some good deals out there).

So is the Goldeneye a remake? I also don't trust Activision to make Goldeneye as good as Rare did. Also Nintendo really should fix their online play or Goldeneye Wii is gonna flop online and flop hard.

Disney Epic Micky demo didn't look to fun and also looked like it could be frustrating to play.

The Nintendo 3DS looks pretty cool and shiny (I like shiny stuff!) but I really want to see it in action but it looks like it's gonna have a lot of games so yay for that.

I'll admit they've got me buying into the hype on the 3DS. The third party support looks to be excellent as well. I can't wait to see the reports from the on floor demos later.

Other than Zelda controlling like shit, and that lame Mario Sports game, Nintendo had a pretty awesome conference. I'm easily the most hyped for the new DKC though. I'm not sure what to think of the Kid Icarus 3DS game. My initial reaction was "Well...this is definitely a game starring Kid Icarus. I don't know if I'd call it a Kid Icarus game though." It looked like a fun game, but it just looked like a generic action title they could have thrown ANY character into, and it would have been the same.

What made me really happy is that all these games weren't really dependant on the Wii Motion Controls. Zelda of course was, along with the Mari...i mean Mii Party game and Epic Micky but DKC and Kirby weren't, they were platformers. I'm really glad that Nintendo didn't make those games dependant on the Wii Motion controls and that they were just simple platformers. Seriously makes me happy.

I still think overall motion controls are a gimmick that will prove to be merely for casual use. Trying to blur the line between playing a video game and actually playing a sport might sound cool in a board meeting, but I doubt it takes over the video gaming world.

As long as it as used as basically a side accessory to your console then I am fine with it, and as long as the pricing point matches that aspect.

Kinect seems like a better value since I assume you need two sets of those things to play two-player Move games. If MS puts it at $100, they have a leg up.
