It's funny how they made a big deal out of Kid Icarus for 3DS but didn't mention the Ocarina of Time port, the Star Fox 64 port, the new Pilotwings, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, or Paper Mario. I'll buy 'em all!

Their seeming commitment to 3D gaming may get my PS3 moved into the living room where my 3D TV is.

We'll see...

We'll see...

Honestly, of those games, Mario Kart and Paper Mario would be the only ones I'd be hyped for, assuming they're new titles, and not ports.

I'll buy it anyway as soon as a flashcart comes out, because hell if I'm paying $35+ for a port of a game that sells for $10 on VC.

Haven't actually seen footage of anything but new Dino Crisis, Twisted Metal, Parasite Eve, Gran Turismo and Time Crisis games excite me.
What I've read about Little Big Planet sounds awesome too.

I saw footage of Metal Gear Solid: Rising. Looks amazing.

Totally looking forward to seeing Final Fantasy XIV footage.

Kinect is 149.99 with a $50 reservation fee (per my looking it up at work today)

The Wi-Fi 360 + Kinect is $399.99 and the Arcade + Kinect is $299.99 I believe.

PS Move games look to be around $39.99 while Kinect look to be around $49.99.

That can't be the actual price. I know stores just make up a price and put it in their computers so people can go ahead and throw a pre-order in (Gamecrazy did it all the time).

Unless Microsoft makes an offical annoucement, it's just a way for stores to get easy pre-orders in.

Crazy how Nintendo wins the console war with motion control over better graphics, and then blows the consoles out of the water again with improved handheld graphics over motion control. I'm more amped about the 3DS than anything else I've seen thus far.

I do love how MS and Sony lol'd at Ninty for their waggle toy back in 2006, when suddenly 4 years later, apparntly it is THE peripheral we need to enjoy games.

God save us if Ninty ever decide to do a full on console again rather than a gamecube upgrade.

Im not entirely convinced with the 3DS, mainly because im sure by the end of 2011 there will be 29876753 different versions available, i also think the DS's main success was due to flashcards, much like the psp before the mod scene decided it was over.

Hopefully it'll be good. My friend's a beta tester for it and he says at the moment it's kind of pointless as there's nothing to do.

That does look like a lot of waggle. I didn't have sound on - do they mention if there is classic or GC controller support?

E3 has been terrible so far, though I don't think anyone is surprised. One of the few E3s I can remember where very little 'hype' has gone towards new titles (unannounced or due in 18 months). Mostly things covered so far have been things mentioned last year.

Man, E3 is definitely disappointing. The only three things out of it that made me smile was 3DS being so fabulous, Kid Icarus (finally), and Golden Sun 3 (FINALLY).

Other than that, this has been one really boring showcase.

They keep mentioning that the moves in the new Zelda game are 1 to 1, but there still seems to be a slight delay from what I've seen.

BTW, did anyone see Kirby: Epic Yarn?

No, that's NOT a typo. The game is Kirby but as a piece of yarn, and everything else. Looks so f'n weird, but you know what? Looks like a lot of fun too.

Also liked what I saw of hte new Contra game. What's taht you say? Hard Corps isn't a Contra? Well fuck me, that's the best imitation Contra I've ever seen by a different publisher. Wait, you say its by the same publisher? ...what the fuck?

Kirby looked fun as hell, but I'm kind of worried that in the video, Kirby did everything BUT swallow an enemy.

Kriby looks fun but I really hope there's more music than that one song. I don't want to feel like I'm in a disney enchanted happy forest all game long. unless there's pie.

So I ended up going to E3 today. I woke up late and then got stuck doing stuff at home (combined with L.A traffic) and didn't get there till about 1, which is a shame as it closed at 5. All in all I only really stuck around the Nintendo/ Sony side of the convention center.

The lines were nuts. It took me about an hour each time to see Zelda and Metroid: other M. Both were worth the wait, but I ended up with no real time and ended up cutting my losses in terms of seeing the 3DS (that line snaked through all the Nintendo space).
Other than that I played some other cool games. Off the top of my head: Donkey Kong Country is pretty sweet, as is Marvel vs Capcom 3. They seem to be doing it in the style/ controls of Tatsunoku vs Capcom (or at least that's what it felt like when I was getting my ass kicked). Goldeneye is goldeneye. It plays fun but is ugly (but so was original goldeneye, and i'm sure they can say they're going for that effect.) That seems to be classic controller only.

Oh, and that Dr. Andonuts door just appeared to lead to a closet and/or collection point at the nintendo offices.
