The Trailer for the Warhammer 40k MMO came out, and it looks pretty good even at this early stage. It's due out in 2013.

I'm still not sold on Star Wars: The Old Republic though. It just sounds too linear for a Star Wars MMO, even though the work they've done on the voice acting and storyline is incredible.

Get Kirby Superstar on VC or DS posthaste.

I'm not worried about the lack of swallowing since Kirby took his UFO form. The best Kirby power is UFO. Or Yo-Yo.

After watching that trailer for Kirby's Epic Yarn, I must admit that my sweettooth is aching a ton.

Though which do you think will be more Epic? Mickey or Yarn?

Mickey still looked like it could be fun. I think it's just a matter of people being butthurt that it doesn't look anything like the original concept art. But still, the idea of morality choices in a fucking MICKEY MOUSE game is just so mindboggling that I'll have to at least check it out.

To the people complaining that it doesn't look like the concept art...

Even if it still does, do you REALLY think that the EARLY levels will look like that?

If stuff was going to look like the concept art, I'd save it for later in the game, as you get closer to the source of evil and all of that.

Thus it should make them want to get the game to actually GET to those points.

I thought the concept art was mostly scrapped stuff that had been done as a test and was ultimately not used? There was a video of gameplay in the thread we had for the game, though, as well as the drawing of some crazy ink spider thing.

For the record, I'd be even less interested if it did look like the fabled concept art. As it stands, the much-ballyhooed morality choice boils down to using either paint or an eraser to do the same thing.

Well, really, it'll all depend on how much your choice actually affects the world and future interactions. All games full of choices are gonna fail miserably if it turns out that your choices really meant absolutely nothing in the end. Not that I'm looking at anyone in particular here...INDIGO PROPHECY

I also heard that they are dropping the existing models down to $149 (Arcade) and $249 (Elite). I might pick one of these babies up next year (or maybe even at Christmas if there are some good deals out there).
That's just to clear out existing stock, as they've done with, say, the 20GB and 60GB Pro models. The old 360s won't be produced anymore. But they are apparently making a $200 unit to go with the new 250GB "Xbox 360 S". I'm not sure if it has a smaller hard drive, or just no hard drive at all.

Edit: I now see why there's two controllers but is the controller with the light up ball $49.99 and the other controller is $29.99 so you gotta pay a combined $70.00 for both or am I mistaken?
$50 for the ball controller (Wii-mote equivalent), $30 for the nunchuk equivalent, and there's also the Eye camera as well, which currently goes for $40. You'll need the camera regardless. All games will use one ball controller. Some will use two. Some will use the ball and nunchuk.

Now that E3 is over, who do you think won and lost?

If we're talking publishers, I'd say Konami, jsut because that was the most awkwardly entertaining conference I've seen in a long time. The biggest loser would be Sega for showing off another shitty Sonic game and making me go "Sega die already".

If we're talking of the Big 3, I'd say Nintendo easily because they did what they didn't do last year. Showed us a ton of fucking games, and a ton of cool things to look forward to that I'd like to play. The loser I would say was Microsoft as they pulled a Nintendo 2009 on us and boy was it bad. Yes, I know Sony's was pretty terrible too, but at least there was everyone's favorite video game VP, Kevin F'N Butler, to save our souls and give us our new Gaming Patriot Speech of the Forever.

If we're talking system: 3DS. Easily without a shadow of a doubt, I haven't been hyped up for a system release and going "gimme now" but looking at what's to come for the system, what the system should be capable of doing, its just gravy. Oh, and Microsoft, you sucked here again.

If we're talking games, I'd say Kid Icarus: Uprising. The production quality is absolutely amazing, and that's not in 3D (since we're watching via trailer), so I think this could be a huge winner. Yeah, loser was Sonic. You know, I'd almost take the Sonic 1-4 as a totally seperate continuity from the rest of the crap that's been spewed out.

What games are you looking forward to from what you saw from the E3 trailers?

My list:
1) Kid Icarus: Uprising
2) Castlevania
3) Kirby: Epic Yarn
4) Marvel vs. Capcom 3
5) Skyward Sword

It sucks how its still not possible to throw in your own hard drive without some serious hax0ring.
Is that the case? I saw dude show off where the hard drive is on one of the conference post-shows, and it looked like a 2.5" drive with some kind of casing around it. I haven't seen conclusively whether or not you can throw in another 2.5" drive if you want.

Alright, maybe it is proprietary. :-\

1) Rock Band 3
2) Donkey Kong Country Returns (though I don't like playing on the Wii, so I don't know how this'll work out)
3) Portal 2
4) Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (if it's a fully fleshed-out game)
5) Dance Central (if Kinect isn't more than $100, and I feel like dying of embarassment; also pretty much solely because I'm a Harmonix fanboy)

I'd say Kirby's Epic Yarn if not for the Wii thing, and probably inFamous 2 if I'd gotten around to playing the first.

Donkey Kong Country, Skyward Sword (maybe I'll get some use out of my Wii), and some of the 3DS games are all I was interested in, pretty much. New Mortal Kombat might be ok, too.

Thats the thing, the existing Xbox Hard drive is your bog standard 2.5" in a fancy casing. The way M$ done it was by allocating a Hard drive "key" where the xbox checks to see if its legit.

The only keys available if you look hard enough are 20 - 60 - 120, not sure about a 250 yet.

But it IS possible to hack a 120gb into a 20gb casing if you wanted to save the cash.

Rage was impressive on G4, but they kept insisting to watch the game in HD. Unfortunately, G4TV.com's videos of the game are kinda poor quality.

This, however, is not.

I remember going to middle school early to go to our computer room to play Doom. That was a vast many years ago. When I saw Rage demoed on my HDTV on G4...I fealt it all come back. That was the first game that made me feel like I was on the cutting edge in a while. Bioware has taken RPGs where I want to go...but at heart I am the kid who played Doom at 7 am before school and was blown away by games.

Rage made me feel that again.
