This starts in a few days, you know. June 4, with a full day of conferences. Wiki says it's live on Spike. Of course, it'll be streaming, too. G4 will also do some trash, I don't know.

Final Wii U push. Maybe the first on Microsoft or Sony's future consoles. Other stuff. Half-Life 2: Episode 3? Haha, hell no. What's rumored, confirmed or anticipated, who will emerge victorious, who bombs, embarrasses and/or makes a joke of themselves for the next year, and creates an overexposed meme they'll never live down. Probably Ubisoft or some shit. Games, bro.

oh shit I was thinking it was next week not this week. Wii U is supposed to come out this year so they better have a lot of shit ready for it. Microsoft I have no clue what's coming, maybe an announcement of Next-box but I doubt it comes out anytime soon. Sony I'm guessing maybe PS4 talk, but mostly Vita hype and games.

I'm pretty stoked for this. I'm a huge Nintendo fan but nonetheless was very underwhelmed by what I saw for Wii U last year. I imagine this year's lineup of games will be more impressive but the controller still gives me pause. Hopefully they'll sell me on it this time. The rumor of a Metroid/Star Fox crossover game was debunked, but Retro is working on something and my guess is that it'll be a new Metroid game, but not Prime 4. I'm hoping for a 2D Zelda for 3DS and that the new Mario for Wii U has been upgraded from the lame crap we saw last year.

As for PS3, there are rumors of a PS+ upgrade where they will offer more top-tier games for free. I also wish for HBO Go but I don't think that's happening.

If Nintendo prices the Wii U over $300, they are just setting themselves up for failure. Hopefully they learned from the 3DS.

All game pads have looked ugly since the SNES days. I'll reserve judgement on how well it works when I have it in my hand. For right now, the placement doesn't seem too bad for buttons. But we'll see.

Really, its an optional controller that gives a good segment of people something they want. Outside of a fairly generic look there shouldn't be anything to complain about.

Has it ever been disclosed how powerful the Wii-U is? It looks like it can play current gen games, but considering Sony and Microsoft are getting ready for the next leap, it makes me question why this platform is even being released. It would make a lot more sense if it had all of these features PLUS the Next Gen of gaming and graphics. Then again, Nintendo seems to live in their own little world.

We're coming close to a graphical plateau where each new generation is going to be small steps above the previous instead of giant leaps. The difference from Wii to ps3 and Xbox360 was greater than the difference that's likely between the Wii U and the future consoles. And outside of the 3ds price drop Nintendo makes money on its hardware from the start or close to it so you really can't fault Nintendo for their ways.

Sure, you have all of the awesome first party Nintendo stuff, but considering most people already have a 360 or a PS3, do you really need another console so that you can play the same games with a tablet accessory? Not saying that it doesn't look cool, but I can't see how I could justify buying another console.
