I like how he hyped all the coins, without giving a reason why we should give a shit about them. OMG EXTRA LIVES.

Paper Mario on ....Holiday season. Boo no release date, yay Paper Mario. I'm sad they went back to a turn based system, but it still looks good.

Castlevania for 3DS is a Lords of Shadows spinoff? Lame. Enthusiasm reduced 75%. I wanted a SOTN-style game.

Trying to crack the passcode on the door while being able to see the zombies coming from behind is cool.

With that last montage, I think they hit the 23 game mark Reggie promised at the start. Is that it?

Fake edit: What's this, Animal Crossing with Nintendo franchise characters?

Takamaru? Isn't that the guy from the samurai game for the Famicom Disk System? What an odd resurrection.

OK, it's nothing like Animal Crossing. It's a mini-game collection. If this is the last game they show today I will LOL.

The giant batch of PlayStation Plus games is available now, all at once. That's bonkers.

Virtua Fighter 5
inFAMOUS 2
LittleBigPlanet 2
Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine
Just Cause 2
Saints Row 2
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
Hard Corp: Uprising
Choplifter HD
Zombie Apocalypse Never Die Alone
Sideway NY

That VF5 is VF5: Final Showdown and it actually comes out today. I was thinking about getting it. Nice job Sony.

Pikmin looks wonderful, but I don't care much about anything else shown. Lego GTA looks alright, Mario is usually fun. Another zombie game. Gimmicky version of a game we played a year ago, who cares. Nintendo Land, fluff.

Conferences were overall disappointing.

Platinum Games' Project 100 announced for the U. Dunno why they wouldn't just show it at the conference.

Internet Explorer on Xbox requires Xbox LIVE Gold membership (sold separately).

That's a double nope.

Netflix (which I suppose I could my PS3 for) and Youtube TV are worth every cent of Gold.

Does that mean with 360 you have to pay the Netflix fee plus the Gold fee?

They really need to let Xbox users use those Netflix, Youtube, etc. features with the Silver membership. It makes no sense to make people pay for live when they can get those same services for free (paying for netflix, hulu+, etc. aside) like PS3 owners can. Not to mention many TV's and regular Bluray players have these features built in too.

I agree that it's silly to deny users the rights to those apps, but I also "get it" since it pretty much justifies my membership. If I'm going to watch Joe Gagne talk about old wrestling games, I'm going to watch it on my TV!

Watch_Dogs, or however it's spelled, kinda looks like a dark vigilante version of Person of Interest. I like the look of it, but is seems very ambitious. Looks like multiple paths you can take, and possibly some off the wall scenarios unless they try to funnel you.

I was with it until they stuck in the third person gunplay cover system bullshit. Even when he whipped out the asp, the initial sense I got was a guy who had to rely on his brains, not take on multiple persons, rolling over the hoods of cars and all that. It'd be more interesting if he had to make do sneaking around, carrying only inconspicuous, defensive minded weapons like asps and tasers that wouldn't draw too much attention. Or at least handguns with limited ammunition. Carrying huge machine guns and getting into attention grabbing firefights doesn't fit the MO to me. But it'll be awesome, regardless.

The Wii U just feels like such a weak step forward. It'll probably turn away the casual crowd because they'll be confused by the whole "you don't need the TV" thing and will think it's a tablet and people like me aren't going to buy new versions of games I already own with gimmicks shoehorned in or games I can just buy for the system I own already.

I'm actually pretty pumped for the end of this year and early '13 since there are a TON of games I'm excited to play. Makes up for the wasteland the first half of '12 has been.

Before yesterday's conference, I was sure that whatever they showed would persuade me to buy a Wii U this fall, but after that, I think I'll wait until next year's E3 when they announce a $100 price drop.

:-\ How utterly disappointing this was. I mean, I know E3 isn't meant to be for us gamers, but really this year felt like it wasn't about us at all. I wanted to know news about the latest games. Not what the company's strategies are. Utter disappointment.

Besides a few titles, which we all know what they are, there wasn't much about anything.
