After I typed that I thought "Sloan naked in graphic sex scene."

But yeah, I'm just not sure how a show about dudes slumming around in their day to day lives translates to a 90 minute story. 90 minutes of drinking, arguing with people, and having sex? Yay?

Then again I don't understand how Sex in the City translates to film but I guess those worked out.

EDIT: Mostly unrelated note: You know what's about the biggest jump in TV viewing you can do? Watch True Blood/Entourage and then Rubicon. I think I got whiplash.

Last season's ending was was a great mature episode. Shows that they can do something special when inspired.

Movie would have to revolve around Vince being nominated for an Oscar. There's a reason they have held off on pulling the trigger on that storyline.

I think it's actually getting kinda predictable. Vince is going to meltdown, Turtle will most likely fuck up the tequila thing, Ari will somehow survive the scandal and Drama will end up realizing that doing the cartoon with Billy is right for him. The quality has been good but I'd enjoy being surprised at the last few episodes and I don't get that feeling right now.

I'm getting bored that nobody on this show is really doing anything. Vince is partying with Sasha, E is doing nothing with Scott Caan, Turtle is coming off the best storyline of his character with Meadow Soprano and is now messing around with tequila, and Drama and Ari are just floating around. Lloyd has had about 5 minutes of screen time total this season.

Sunday was the first time I had ever seen a "Previously on Entourage" recap, so I thought maybe Vince being found practically dead was a big deal, and then the episode started and all was well. Ok then.

Are these segments common on HBO? I remember people talking about the "next episode" previews and we don't get those on HBO Canada either.

Yeah, they have them before all their shows, at least the ones I watch(ed). This one, OZ, True Blood, etc.

You can't really knock a show for being predictable until you know if those predictions come true though.

I think what I've been missing from the show was the actual focus on the studio process and the actual making of the movies. I always found that stuff interesting. It seems in the last couple seasons that the focus has been way more on the guys' lives and then they completely gloss over the actual movies. There wasn't really anything on the show to do with Vince's last 3 movies (Gatsby, the Ferrari one, and that action movie he did the car stunt for).

Vince will probably end up dumping Sasha in the season finale.

Does Sloan have a no nudity clause or something cause she has been in a couple of scenes in the last couple weeks that kind of call for it.

What exactly is the "scandal" regarding Ari? That he says bad words at work?

I like how Vince is so empty inside and devoid of any personality or human traits whatsoever that whoever or whatever comes into his life (Billy Walsh, doing his own stunts, a porn star) just takes over completely, like he's some kind of pod person. Now, just because I use the word "like" don't mistake this for praise.

Quick comment from last week's episode: Vince acting coked out in the meeting with the director might have been the worst acting I've seen in a long time. That was the least subtle performance possible in that instance.

Well, I think that's been the point of his character from the very get-go. His whole life he's had others telling him what he should do. He's even mentioned several times when Eric told him what he should be doing even back in grade school and high school. For the majority of his acting career, everyone's told him what he should be a part of. The one time he shuns everyone away and decides to do what HE wants to do, it ends up being an epic failure for him.

Does Turtle still have a dog? They should do an episode where Vince has to take care of it (which is CRAZY because Vince has no idea how to do anything) and starts walking around on all fours and eating out of a bowl on the ground and pissing and pooping all over the house and then at the end when E is yelling at him over it, have Vince say something like "Oh but now I understand more about myself" or something and then Katherine Bigelow randomly calls out of nowhere to offer Vince a part in her movie. They bust out some beers and we fade to black. Entourage, baby!

It would have been great had that call from Scorsese actually been a prank phone call, and it was actually an out of his mind Walsh.

I remember the days of it ending after 22-24 minutes, so I never even consider adding a minute to the end of an episode.

Yeah. Everyone jumped on HBO's ass for that.

Was this episode extra long? My recording cut off at Vince and E arguing.
Yeah same for me. Luckily HBO shows it like 12 times a day so I just set the next one to record long.

And yeah, Entourage episodes are normally really short.

Screw the movie. I want the series to end with Vince being found dead in a hotel room.

Vince will be missing, Eric will find out he was last seen at some seedy motel in a suicidal state of mind, we see Eric walking in, opening the door, says "Vince?" and then fade to black without actually seeing Vince's fate. Good ol HBO endings!
