Beware of Bootleg Burger Kings in Pittsburgh.
This is such an awesome story, saw this a few days ago. That Burger King was built into a downtown facade, so it's not like they could do a complete makeover like a strip chain could. The building looked straight out of the 70's or early 80's. I'd love to know what happened between them and BK corporate, probably BK shafting them. I love this story.
Related, I ate BK the other day for the first time in like 6 months. Got a bacon double, 4 piece chicken and 4 piece moz sticks. $5 and change. I ate it all within like 7 minutes. It was good.
Curious to see an update on this story so I Googled it.

I guess another Burger King franchisee stepped in, bought this BK, and it's now an actual Burger King.
That's a disappointing and anti-climatic end to the story (unless you're a Pittsburgh BK fan). Disappointing and anti-climatic also sums up the dining experience most times I go to Burger King.
