I'd eat broccoli before sweet potato fries. Fuck them thangs.
For me sweet potato fries never seem to live up to expectations, so yeah, I'd go with broccoli. I think most places have finally figured out how to cook broccoli without losing it's colour.

LOTC, methinks the Crown and Dragon north of Bloor on Yonge would chance your stance on them fries! :p

Been there before, never had their fries. If I want some dope-ass frites I hit up The Emmet Ray at College and Ossington. Best in the city.

The last Fudruckers in my immediate area has closed down. Too bad, I always enjoyed a burger from that place.

Only time I went to Fuddruckers there was a huge group of high school cheerleaders that was just leaving. Looked like it was a birthday lunch or something. They all got milkshakes, and not a single one of them drank more than half, so I took them all and finished them. Normally I wouldn't be so quick to drink out of strangers' straws but if it's cute girl saliva I think it's ok.

I had fond memories of Fuddruckers when I was a child, but I went to one as an adult—Jacksonville hasn't had one since I was a child—I thought it was terrible. I don't know if it was just a matter of me having crappy taste as a kid or whether the food was now just plain worse. I'm never going to find out.

There's a burger joint in Metairie, LA called "Phil's Grill." It's one of those places where you customize everything about your burger off of a list and the kitchen cooks it. It is phenomenal. But it's an hour from me and so we don't get to go nearly as much as I like.

I got sick at Phil's Grill one time. I ordered the hamburger cut with italian sausage. Not thinking I selected for it to be cooked medium since I always like my burgers medium. Neither I nor the kitchen realized that would include also cooking ground pork sausage medium as well.

I always say stupidity SHOULD hurt and I was a victim of my own suggestion.

Went out drinking Saturday night and on the way home we stopped at Jack in the Box and tried those Munchie meals.

I did the Hellapeno. From their website:

A burger heaped with both stuffed and sliced jalapeños, gooey cheese and taco sauce. Hope you’re #hellahungry. Served with 2 Regular Tacos, Halfsies and a 20 fl. oz. fountain drink.

Pretty sure that soaked up every last drop of the alcohol.

I guess I forgot to mention that I had Shake Shack for the first time last weekend when I was in Boston. I enjoyed it but I thought it was just a touch overrated. It's like a hipster version of Wendy's. Solid, it seems like a slightly better value than Five Guys and chains of that ilk but I thought the only thing that was truly awesome was the Shake Sauce.

Also I didn't get an actual milkshake there and I probably should have.

It seems the current fast food fad is to make "sriracha" and "ghost pepper" products that aren't actually hot. Also, the guy who made the real Sriracha sauce must be kicking himself for not trademarking that stuff.

Jack in the Box has a new burger with ghost pepper ranch sauce out now, too. Do all the fast food companies get together and decide on this stuff or something? It always seems everyone's doing the same thing at the same time. Pretzel buns last summer, for example.

Oh yeah, Taco Bell and Subway do sriracha, too, don't they? Who else?

I second that. The Wendy's sandy actually had legit diced jalapenos rather than the pickled jalapenos most places throw on a sandy.

The trend of piling as much crap as possible inside a burger doesn't really excite me, although I know Carl's Jr. is going for a gimmick here. I wonder how the texture of the chips works with the rest of the sandwich.

Not that nutritionists are high on the Most American Thickburger. It's loaded, after all, with calories (1,063), fat (64 grams) and sodium (2,350 mg).

That's repulsive.

Didn't feel like cooking so I went to the local Wendy's for a classic double. Saw a sign for "Ghost Pepper fries." Seems they pour nacho-esque cheese on fries and add ghost peppers. So I ordered some.

Complete waste of my $1.99 + tax. There was a "spice" to it, but not much. I think an onion probably has more kick to it.
