Yeah, I've always found Hardwick really offputting and creepy back on Attack On The Show continuing into his podcast and that game show he hosted on Comedy Central. Him taking over the reign of King of the Nerds the last 15 years or so has always been strange to me since I remembered him as the host of Singled Out and appearing in random roles here in there.

If it turns out to be true then fuck him to death. I haven’t read up on this story since the beginning. I’m sure some people are going to be wrongly hurt by the me too movement. But many more are getting called out for the scum that they are. No one is innocent until proven guilty anymore. That’s all I’m getting at.

Please. Nobody gets canceled. By "derailed," he might have to lay low for, like, three months until somebody gives him another show. If the heat is really bad, he might have to wait six.

He's not going to jail behind this, they aren't going to seize his assets, his fans aren't going to abandon him... in fact, not only are his fans not going to abandon him, they're probably already harassing her for trying to "ruin" his life. Point is, ain't nobody "derailing" shit.

If Gamergate didn't generate enough of a change when death threats were sent to somebody for **GASP!** being open about sexism in an industry then I don't think anything short of going door to door and breaking jaws is going to work.

I feel like literally every con that has, say, 100+ people (just for example) has all kinds of shit happen you never hear about. I don't even go to cons, but it wouldn't shock me if things akin to this happen often. Frankly it reminds me of the Channel Awesome shit, at the moment.

So speaking from experience....

I've always been into nerdy shit but not to that level. However, I was a nerdy guy that never got girls in high school.

From my own experience (both with myself and watching others) nerdy guys never got girls growing up so when they start to get them when they get older they feel like they're owed something by girls because they never gave them the time of day before.

I luckily grew the fuck up really quick but I can say I had similar feelings in my early 20s. Unfortunately I have a friend that was also extremely nerdy and never got girls in high school or college and he has not grown up and is quickly turning into a full blown incel so I've had to cut ties.

There's just shitty people everywhere.
