TSM Madden NFL 10 League- Season 2, Week 14

Went to a watch party for the Kings game, got home around 2 A.M. Eastern, and joined my NHL 10 team for some online team play. Just got done a short while ago. I'm advancing now. Let's set the deadline for Tuesday at midnight Eastern due to my game being the only user vs. user game... though I may extend it by a day since I'm not sure when my opponent is returning from Baltimore, although I believe he'll be back by Tuesday at the latest.

Venom will be back tomorrow, so we will advance Tuesday at midnight Eastern.

Also, no lottery for teams for the third season. We'll just stick with what we've got. Maybe we can get a few more participants to replace those who we have lost. Feel free to invite a friend or two, guys. Obviously, I have. As long as they are reliable and get their games played, I don't care if they post here or not.

Venom got back late last night due to traffic. We're playing shortly. I will advance at midnight Eastern unless someone else lets me know that they plan to play tonight around or little after that time.

Venom kicked my ass, as usual, but not by much this time: 26-7. Could have been less, but he got a safety after I started the drive at the 9, and then scored on the ensuing possession. Also, he (well, his CPU LB) got the most ridiculous, pop in out of nowhere, 1 handed interception I've ever seen. Didn't lead to a score, fortunately. I'll upload it.

Now Atlanta (Lightning Flik/Azure Rouge) is #1 in the NFC by 1 game.

Only Its Orange Baby has a game left. I reminded him a few days ago. He's on now in the 4th quarter of an offline franchise game. I messaged him on Live and told him that if he starts his game before midnight Eastern, I'll wait till he finishes. Otherwise, I advance in a half hour, in case anyone wants to play week 16 games.

Buffalo's offense had a pathetic showing against the Bengals, mustering just 75 yards in the first half, and taking until the 4th quarter to score a TD. Luckily the defense was able to get 2 touchdowns on their side, and post their 4th shutout in the last 5 games, as the bills win 24-0. Alonzi Simms, the clearcut DROTY(5 ints and 3 ffs) gave me a scare by going down and getting carted off, but it appears that's the only game he had to miss.

My game freezes a lot of the time. Sometimes, it happens at the beginning of the game; other times during. It's happened in my offline franchise and my other online franchise, too.

I had the same problem with NCAA 09.

Roscoe Parrish returns the opening kickoff 93 yards, then Leodis McKelvin takes a punt back 77 yards, and the Bills are up 14-0 before their offense even touches the ball. McKelvin then adds a pick six in the second half, and the o didn't need to do much at all. Which is good, cause they didn't. 35-9 final. Bills head into the playoffs at 15-1, waiting a wild card round winner.

Ugly, ugly game from me. I threw 3 bad INTs and all my own fault. First I threw into triple coverage, then I decided to not take a sack, and the final one was "oh, the LB can't possibly jump that high". It didn't help that I dropped a fumble on the goal line, but it was thankfully negated on the second play of the Browns possession when I nailed Lewis for a fumble into the endzone.

Matt Ryan had another typical Matt Ryan game with 385 yards, 5 TDs, 3 INTs, all on 19 of 30.
Jerious Norwood looked like a decent back for once, actually racking up 118 yards on 19 attempts.
Jamarion Bellows is the OROY with this last game of 8 receptions for 224 yards 2 TDS.
Roddy White got into the action and isn't going TO on me with 7 receptions for 104 yards and 2 scores.
...I guess I could say Maroney did something going 1 for 3 on rushing and 1 for 1 for 1TD on receiving.
Jamaal Anderson finally showed he could play with some viciousness, nabbing 5 tackles, 4 for sacks, and of course the forced fumble.

With my win, I secure my bye week and hopefully I get Turner back for the divisionals, so I can run all over you guys. ...and not make stupid INTs.

I've continued my roll right along into the Playoffs. I put up another W against the Jets Winning by a Score of 53 - 7, Ending the Season at 11-4. I don't think I had an actual User vs User Loss, I came into the League and the previous owner had lost a game or two. Only game I lost was the one I forgot about and was simmed against San Diego and I ended up losing. It'll be interesting to see who my Round 1 opponent is, I'm #3 Seed I believe.

Brady 24/49 - 7 TD - 2 INT - 422 Yards - Finished the Season with a Whopping 70 Touchdowns - BRADY FOR MVP!

Watson & Moss - 14 Rec - 5 TD - 295 Yards - Moss Finished with a League High 23 Rec Touchdowns and Rec Yards

Defense - Total of 10 Sacks on Sanchez

Hm, I think we've got quite a few worthy candidates for this year:

Brady - 70 TDs is pretty damn evil and that's with a not so steady running game. However, had Moss and Welker to play pitch and catch.
Williams - Leads the league in sacks with a ton of them. However, plays for a high scoring offense which leads to easy sacks.
Moss - Has the most receptions and receiving yards. However, has Brady to pass to him.
Turner - Injured yet still dominating rushing. However, Falcons learned to throw.

Though, I'm actually kinda thankful that Turner got injured since I can now throw for more than 200 yards a game if someone ever manages to stuff Turner badly.

Whatevs, its all for Super Mario.

Welker/Moss/Brady all split votes and make it impossible to say either is MVP worthy due to the type of offense that New England had.

Turner, well..he got injured and proved to be a simple cog in the machine that was Atlanta. True, it was a rather large cog..but nothing the team couldn't overcome.

Mario..well, you tell me who else is going to get pressure on the QB? Barwin? Smith? The main reason that man gets to the QB is also because he's been switched over to the left so that he isn't matched against the OL's best blocker (which is usually the LT). He gets those sacks even when the opposing team is using not only a HB but a TE to chip and stay in to block..his added pressure also allowed for Juran Riley to get 5 INTs on the year as a rookie, to allow DeMeco to get in on the INT love and to let the rest of the DB's worry on only covering either their man or watching their respective zone.

Plus, his sack total is more than the combined totals of the men who rank 2-5 in the sack category for the year.

I would hope so, otherwise I'd say the NFL is messed up. I'm lookin like the 07 Patriots so far..Hopefully I won't finish like them haha. If Brady threw 70 TDs they'd probably finally announce a winner to the Greatest QB of All Time between Manning and Brady. But it'll never happen lol. Can't wait for the Playoffs! A bit of confusing news I guess, I lost Derrick Burgess for the Season with a Torn Pectoral. But Paris Lenon came in and had 3 Sacks, so hopefully he'll be able to keep it up.

If this was real life, yes Brady would hands down get the award. Though I think we're more appreciative of defensive players here.

I would probably vote Williams though, simply because his supporting cast on defense isn't as great as Brady's is and therefore I'd give the nod to him.
