I'm just waiting for the franchise blog to be released. Hoping for more of the Head Coach series innovations (especially the draft & contract systems; assistant/position coach hiring systems and player ratings dependent on the system you run would also be appreciated)

I'll likely be getting it on release day, as I'm always a sucker for new Madden excitement. The little that I've seen so far makes it look very similar to last year's game, which isn't terrible since last year's was the best version in a long time.

One small thing I'm looking forward to for this year is the audio presentation, as they'll be including proper game songs, such as Crazy Train, Zombie Nation, and stadium exclusives like the "J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets" chant and the Vikings horn.

Yeah the announcing is going to be way better. Couldn't stand Tom Hammond at ALL. Is Cris Collinsworth back for color then?

Hammond wasn't good, but I never thought he was as bad as a lot of people said. And yes, Collinsworth is returning.

I will most likely get it, but damn another year of the Redskins sucking in Madden, and not having a elite RB on the squad makes it tough trying to win online with them.

Did the stop making the Head Coach games? If so, I'd be hoping they'd put a lot of that stuff into Madden since there's no longer a separate game to cover that market.

Most of the HC team had moved over to work on Madden as of last year's title so I'm pretty sure it's long dead by now.

Which is for the best really. The game itself wasn't that fun (or efficient, with horrible loading times & stuttering even on menus when in-game), considering you had no control what your bonehead players did leaving you at the mercy of the AI that was never very good.

I mentioned that in the Random Thoughts thread talking about NCAA. My friends and I do the online dynasty/franchise for both and since NCAA improved dramatically and Madden somehow left out everything... we are skipping Madden this year. Online franchise without awards, free agency, etc. is NOT fun.

Yeah, I think I no longer care about getting Madden this year. The game didn't excite me enough to pay for it, and now seeing that its not being updated on the Franchise side, yet again. Well, fuck, I'm out.

I really don't care too much about the lack of updates to online franchise, however Madden can suck it until it gives me the full playbook to play with again

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the full playbook is available if you don't want to use the Game Flow option.

I generally stick to just regular franchise mode, so I'm not turned off by lack of online franchise improvement. I thought last year's single player franchise was pretty good, so I can live with it another year just so long as basic gameplay elements like catching in-bounds and whatnot are at least fixed.

Methinks we should skip 11's online franchise and go to NCAA for an online dynasty instead. Depending on how many people we end up with & what teams they want, we might not have any mandatory human vs human games to deal with which would make it absolutely fly.

Now that I've got the PS3 it makes no sense for me to resubscribe to Xbox Live, so count me in on PS3 if we get one going.

I'll hop in as Oregon but I can't guarantee when exactly I'm going to get the game. I haven't been happy with Madden's online mode in any way, shape, or form lately so I'll probably switch back to NCAA this year for that reason.

Also for you guys getting on board with the PS3 leagues, I might join ya later this year. I'm sick of paying for online multiplayer and Netflix and I don't even do too much of the former to begin with.

Ok, well it seems like we have a few people interested in the PS3 Dynasty. Does anyone want to volunteer to run it? I will try if nobody else wants to. I don't know what team I will be yet but i'll pick one soon. We got a month before this comes out anyways.

BTW, when I said franchise, I meant the offline, not the online. There's no changes at all on either franchise mode and so I'm just out. At least NCAA makes it seem like they are doing something every year.
