Swagger is now a stat.

Affects your player's ability to perform in situations that you need him to at the most. Like 4th down, playing better away from home, in the red zone, stuff like that.

Also, it's sponsored by Old Spice. Cause they know all about Swagger.

Are they going to have a guy riding a horse roaming the field?

If Broward can get me a copy of NCAA for cheap somehow, I'm in for the 360 dynasty, probably as Univ. of Houston, maybe A&M.

Okay, now its been recanted on that it helps with anything that's actually useful in the game and is more about a person's showboating and gamesmenship and stuff like that.

...geezus, I'm so not getting this game this year. At least Swagger originally sounded like a brilliant concept.

If I can get you a copy for cheap? Did I not get you a discount on any game you've picked up at my store? Just pick AnM and I'll make more than enough time in my schedule to dismantle the wrecking crew piece by piece.

Ah that's good to know. I thought it was an introduction to race based stats and all the white players would have like a swagger rating of 65 and below. Then in Madden '12 they would add a "Coachable" stat and a "Grit" one for the white players.

Just wait for the heart rating.

I bet Vincent Jackson, Cedric Benson, et all have a high "Captain" rating.

I wonder if you have a high Swagger, and a high Captain, do you get to Ice the other players?

I hope that has been fixed. Although, it's not nearly as other games from the past.

If it's the same, then I'll just turn the commentary off.

Is the Demo out yet on PSN? Will it be soon?

When people use madden cards/coins to make their franchise team's into beasts does that transfer to online play or are you always playing online with the teams in their default settings?

I have never been one to mess with franchise or the coins/cards system, so I am not sure exactly how it all works.

Just played the demo.

They really worked on the gang tackle feature. It now looks the way they said it was going to look in '10.

No sprint is good and bad. It sucks for plays where you feel you should have taken it to the house, but it is also going to be a big help online when you are playing people who run the same play over and over with whatever the RB of the month is.

Gameflow like mentioned before is a complete waste of time if you have played Madden before. I mean the only people I see using it or those who are playing the game for the first time.

Graphics look like an improvement to me, I am not sure why others say they see no difference?

Not a fan of the demo.

Just doesn't feel right, I'll wait for reviews to come out before purchase and keep playing NCAA in the meantime.

I'll probably tell myself I'm not going to buy it at launch but end up picking it up the week after like last year.

I agree with skullman, the demo just feels a little "off".

I dunno if it feels off, or it is just that mechanics are different in '11. It is going to be interesting to have players run down the field strictly based on their speed rating alone and not based on pressing the turbo button. I guess we will have to wait till we see RB's like Peterson/Johnson etc in action to see the major difference, cause I swear in '10, if you ever got the slight bit step on someone the rock was taken to the house everytime.

Also, I noticed it seems like it is harder to break tackles in '11. Of course this was just based on playing the CPU, and we will have to wait for online play to see how different it is. I for one would welcome the change as I was pretty sick and tired of would-be tackles for losses on opponents, that turn in to 25 yard gains because a button is being pressed. .

Like I said though, the demo is not always a good indication of how the full game will look.

I downloaded the demo, and it was the first madden game ive played since the twin pack with nhl hockey on the megadrive.

I dont understand the rules of the NFL, nor what the hell i was doing.

But i won 14-13 and marked like a fucker.

I think im gonna get it.

I agree that there looks to be a slight graphical improvement.

Hearing Zombie Nation crowd chant after converting a big third down is cool, but it doesn’t seem right to hear it when it’s the visiting team converting or sacking the home QB.

Going back to the commentary, I’m kind of split. Johnson definitely brings the enthusiasm to a lot of calls, but it can often sound ridiculous as previously mentioned. The timing also seems off: for instance, after I break loose for a 30+ yard TD, only after I get into the endzone does he say “Next stop, pay dirt!” There was another instance of this, too, with a different line.

Sideline catching is a much-needed improvement, with the occasional catch outside, but I suppose that’s not terrible considering that not everyone always makes it out of bounds. At least one specific glitch does remain though: In the final two minutes, a sideline catch (where the receiver is clearly out, and called as incomplete) is booth reviewed (complete with Jeopardy music!), and the call is announced as overturned, but the result is still an incomplete pass?

I didn’t really delve into Gameflow, but it definitely doesn’t seem like it’s worth using.

No big complaints for me. I was going to get the game regardless since I love playing Madden, especially with an up-to-date roster, so I’m looking forward to picking this up.

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention was that there seemed to be an improvement on run blocking. Tackles look like they have specifc assignments for once.

I do kind of like that you can put on your headset and hear the coordinator through that, but they repeat themselves far too much.

While I like Madden for trying new and different things, I think the problem is that instead of trying to build a totally new game from scratch, they've built on top of a game that really needs to be overhauled. And therein lies the problem.

Welcome to EA and THQ.

Ive now played the NCAA and Madden Demos. NCAA wasnt as fun for me, i got confused by all the options during the plays, so im getting madden for the 360.

Another improvement is now when you hit the QB or run into them and obstruct their arm, it actually affects the ball. In year's past, unless you were actually in the act of a sack it seemed like a player could throw a flawless pass the last half second before hitting the ground. Now, everything you do to the QB, hit, rush, hurry, obstruct etc....seems to affect the way the pass is thrown. I was blitzing the hell out of Peyton Manning and he was just throwing some crappy passes, and then making the arm/hand gestures and manningfacesoffrustration. It was great.

I still am getting used to no turbo though. When I hit a wide open receiver, I still press R2 out of habit......Until the full game comes out though we won't see the real impact of turbo-less madden.

I guess the best way to know for now is to put the fastest speed rating guys as the starters and see how much they tend to break out downfield.

I have noticed so far that B. Edwards seems to always get open downfield.

I will when i get to grips with how defence works, ive been constantly going to blitz, breaking formation and b-ling for the quarterback ignoring my set pieces.

Only played one game. Graphics are way better than NCAA but that was to be expected.

Don't like a lot of the new features. Gameflow lasted about 5 seconds and the new preplay buttons are annoying as hell. Sticking with skipping it.

See I thought NCAA looked better, especially the lighting, the Madden models looked kind of cartoony to me.

I dunno.. i just wasn't impressed at all with the demo.
