Mass Shootings/Killings Thread

So, how bad are these kids in Florida gonna get savaged for speaking out on gun control?

Online righties are already calling foul that marches and such are being organized so quickly since that shows the Leftie forces are aiding them.

Have you seen some of the interviews and speeches from these kids? They cut better promo than most of the WWE roster.

I feel sorry for any politician that crosses their path during that CNN townhall Wednesday night.

The last group of human beings to say "stop killing us" was branded a terrorist outfit, so if this isn't ugly enough now, it'll get there soon.

We may get another one soon with this Missouri Youth Baseball league raffling off assault rifles

I dont think Congress will do anything unless the voters remove the GOP from power this November. I dont expect either McConnell or Ryan to bring any bills to the floor. I am not convinced that Republicans are human.

I absolutely can’t wait to see Rubio and that sociopath Rick Scott face those kids on Wednesday night.

Why do I get the feeling everyone was instructed to compliment the President before saying anything else in this "meeting"? And of course "arm the teachers!~!~!" is brought up. Put a guy with a pistol up against a nut with an AR and see who wins.

If only that teacher at the beginning of Red Dawn had a pistol.

I heard one dude suggested arming custodians and cafeteria workers too. Let's just give all adults at the school a gun. I've never heard of one of them snapping and going on a rampage before. Nope.

Why are they assuming they can handle a firearm or even want one in the first place? Do they want that to be on their application?

Not to add too much real life to the internetiness, but I'm a teacher. Arming the likes of me is not going to help anything.

Sorry but everyone needs a gun and they need to cut your pay to pay for likely mentally unstable veterans who can't hold a consistent job to monitor your school. Everyone has to make sacrifices for the troops and now it's your turn.

In all seriousness, even most cops don't have any business having a gun. This needs to stop.

Pretty cool to see so many kids stand up to the president and other powerful excuse-makers. I hope more legislators will be like this.

I knew a lot of bi polar and depressed teachers. They're the first people that should be armed.

The tide is changing. I don't know what's different about this one compared to Sandy Hook. Maybe it's because the victims are able to vocalize their opinion.

Yeah I don't remember this backlash when Columbine happened.

Crooked Hillary said that I want guns brought into the school classroom. Wrong!

There. Is. A. Trump. Tweet. For. EVERYTHING!

Funny you bring that up. A Columbine survivor that is in office now wants guns in classrooms

WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK

As always when this shit comes up there's always that one or two that post the picture of the teacher in Israel with the gun slung over there shoulder as the example for why it should be done here, not like there's a difference between a country with mandatory military service that results in about an 80% enlistment rate versus handing guns over to untrained civilians who 90% or so have probably never even held a firearm let alone shot at anything.

The following businesses have cut ties with the NRA in the last 24 hours:

-Hertz car rental
-First National Bank of Omaha
-Enterprise Car Rental
-Symantec Software
-Chubb Insurance
-Best Western
-Wyndham Hotels
-Avis Budget Group

Google Play, Amazon, and YouTube under heavy pressure to drop NRATV. Yeah, this really is uncharted territory.

I work in a high school that has about 2,000 students, about 100 staff members and I'd guess around 15 point of entries into the school.

I honestly could not imagine more than probably three people I would want to be armed. And like Thrasher said I don't know the mental states of many of those people.

Our homecoming ended this year when a picnic table got slammed and someone shouted "gun".

Seeing first hand about 400-500 kids flying out the front door in a frantic state, I would be very dubious to see a teacher armed to get to someone that looks school age or is a current student.

And famed asshole James Woods bitched about enterprise on twitter over it.

I work at a middle school of about 1200 and I could not agree more with pretty much all of that.

Also, add TrueCar to the list.
