It really is too bad that we never got any sustained Hogan & Dusty interaction. I feel like '82 to '87 Hogan had the fire in the belly and the charisma to stand side by side with the Dream. By the time Dusty actually showed up in WWF, I think Hogan's ego was too huge to risk being upstaged by his hero.

23 minutes in here...

Dusty and Hogan only fought two one on one matches, and they only teamed twice. Mostly there's a tour in May-June '81 where Hogan frequently teams with Stan Hansen against Dusty and a partner. But except for the Rumble they were never in the same match after that.

I forgot or genuinely didn't know Macho Man did job work in WWWF early in his career.
Surprised he went under the Poffo name. I knew he did early work as "The Spider" and maybe another mask gimmick to get around his baseball career.

This might be most random tag team match of all time.

Did not know Giant Silva was active as late as 2008. Cagematch says his last match was in 2010. Even more amazed to learn he is still alive. Good for him. Can't be too many wrestling giants that made it to 60.

News being great in Europe is one of those things I think about. Maybe because Cannonball Grizzly is the coolest wrestling name ever.

If nothing else CWA usually have wrestlers better names. Pit Bull II became Mad Bull Buster. Duke Droese became Marshall Duke. Etc.

PCO getting pinballed by the Giant sounds incredible, though. They could click really well.

Unfortunately, this match is literally 1-2 minute schmozz with The Giant half heartedly selling some clubs and clotheslines from PCO and then getting counted out.

Harley Race getting Ronnie Garvin's grizzled, mid-card babyface gimmick in '89 could've been good. Plus we would've gotten Harley impersonating Don Rickles at SummerSlam '89.

In July 1982 Baron Mikel Scicluna & Charlie Fulton were put under hoods as "The Demons" and given two TV squash wins. They then worked one other match 2 weeks later to put over the Strongbows at MSG and never worked the gimmick again.
Perhaps even more odd is that the promoters hadn't even had Fulton and Baron working as partners in the lead up to this, but I guess tag team cohesiveness didn't matter if the plan was only 2 basic squashes and then 1 more match.
Of bonus interest is that the WWF had an Executioner floating around at the same time, as well as a Red Demon and Black Demon.
