As long as Flair/Funk is still on top, I think. Face Arn would mean there would be a Wargames on the table, final final blowoff of Flair vs J-Tex into the Sting turn.

What a wacky card:
May 1991-
USWA champ Lawler vs Kamala
"WWF Women's champ" Rockin Robin vs IWA World champ Madusa
The Trooper and Stan Lane partner up against Bloom and Enos (w/ Corny joining Lane at ringside)
and the SHEIK wrestles for the US title...with Sabu and RVD with him as his cronies.
Plus Rip Rogers vs Iron Mike Sharpe and midgets!

One of the best IWGP champions. Been ducked since he "lost" the title.

WWF @ Cincinnati, OH - Cincinnati Gardens - February 19, 1996 (8,500)
Monday Night Raw taping: (Dark)
Duke Drose defeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley in a steel cage match when the momentum of a knee by Helmsley knocked Drose out the door

This may beat Mideon/Bossman as most random cage match.
Was Bret/Diesel the start of the pre-built cage hanging overhead and this was a test run to make sure it would work?

I wouldn't call that match random... they did just have that Royal Rumble match to decide who got #1/#30 IIRC so a match like that makes more sense in that kind of context.

'00 WCW definitely had more random cage matches. There's also some super random cage matches on the last disc of the 1986 to 1995 WWF Unreleased set like IIRC, Diesel Vs Yokozuna.

I was at this show. This wasn't a pre-built cage. They built the old school way.

Also, fun fact. When my friend, my dad and I got to our seats at this show there were already people sitting in them. My dad said, "I think you're in our seats". One of the people responded, "do they have your name of them?". My dad ended up going to get an usher to get the people to move. Good times.

At this same set of tapings they ran a video package for The Ultimate Warrior's return. My friend and I were at the concession area when the package ran, so all we heard was the Warrior's music blaring. We ran from the area, losing our spot in line, thinking the Warrior was showing up. Destrucity.

At least those are headliners. This was a JTTS against the 8th most over heel on the roster on a good day.

Diesel/Yokozuna is so disappointing. Like I didn't expect "good" but I expected less laying down.

Sweet Daddy Siki, in his late 40s and nearing retirement, worked a UWF tour in Japan. Here is the card the night he fought Maeda!
--
The Apters had a blurb that Siki was going to work for WCCW in honor of Mike VE after his suicide, but he doesn't appear in any results I can find.

I remember Bret having articles in his newspaper column about how Bundy and Earthquake just disappeared.

Bret was really complimentary of Bundy as a person and performer in his book so it was really jarring how much KKB hated Bret’s guts in shoot interviews. Maybe he felt like Bret didn’t stick his neck out enough for him during that ‘94/‘95 run or maybe he thought he was too much of a pipsqueak to be a top guy. It just seemed uncharacteristic.
