I'm upset because I bought MLB 2K8 for the Xbox and I can't pitch very well. I also can't hit very well and I tend to pop out.
I just need to rant on that.

Netflix in general is worth every penny and the Xbox streaming is just icing on the cake. I rarely have any stutters and 99% of the time I get the best quality available.

You're At The Movies is down to $20 and I keep waffling on wether or not to buy it because of the camera. The only game I'd probably use it for is Burnout, but it's only $20!

So I've got a few points to burn (800, in fact) and am looking for a good Arcade game. I know VX was pimping Peggle hard a while back and I liked the demo, but I don't know if I want another puzzle game. My cousin told me that 3D Mini Golf is good, but I was unimpressed by the demo. Castle Crashers looks good, but it's 1200 and I want to save the rest of my points for either the last Fallout expansion or the Burnout Cops and Robbers add-on that's coming soon.

Any suggestions for me? I have Zuma, Uno and Castlevania already.

PacMan Championship Edition is fun. Either Puzzle Quest is really really good. Alien Hominid is good, as is Castle Crashers. Peggle rules the world. Braid is a critics favorite. I thought Switchball was pretty cool. And you can't really go wrong with Banjo-Kazooie. Ikaruga is really good too.

Do you like playing old arcade games? I like playing Contra, TMNT, and Street Fighter II.
Also, I heard that NHL game on Xbox Live Arcade is good.

I ended up getting Peggle and, for the hell of it, the first Geometry Wars.

TMNT Arcade makes a 360 worthwhile alone (fucking love that game), but so far Lost Odyssey has been my favorite game on the console. I don't like shooters, though, so that's half the library off my radar right there.

I don't know if it's the same in the US, but the game based on the Bob Saget show 1 vs. 100 is getting massive hype on the Dashboard here. I've never seen such buzz over a TV based downloadable game.

I bought Crackdown and played it for the very first time yesterday. This game was a lot of fun, is there a sequel in the works?

I was going to say "not anytime soon," but I double checked, and the answer is "maybe."

From wikipedia...

Potential sequels

Wilson and lead designer Billy Thomson had previously confirmed that Crackdown was designed from the outset to be a long running series of games,[14] stating that sequels for the game are very likely to be produced, especially if Crackdown performed well commercially.[14] However, during the Industry All Stars event in September 2007, Wilson confirmed that Realtime Worlds was not working on a sequel to the game, saying "Microsoft [was] a little late in stepping up to the plate to ask for Crackdown 2, and by then we had already started working on bigger, better things".[10] However, Shane Kim, a corporate vice-president for Microsoft, states that Microsoft still holds the intellectual property rights for Crackdown and that a Crackdown sequel is still a possibility.[15] Realtime Studios manager Colin MacDonald clarified that if they have the resources after completion of APB, they could approach Microsoft to discuss a sequel.[16] Industry reports that Ruffian Games, a Scottish studio formed from members from the Realtime Worlds team, may be involved in the development of a Crackdown sequel.[17]

As mentioned, if so it will be a different developer likely. Realtime Worlds is working on an MMO called APB.

In lieu of an action sequel, I recommend you check out The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Prototype. Hulk UD is a fine game in its own right and contains a lot of elements that influenced Crackdown. Plus, Prototype is the spiritual sequel of Hulk UD, made by the same developer.

I want to download the UFC demo, but I only have a 250 MB memory card. Is there an alternative way to store the demo that's not on my memory card?

After a little over 2 1/2 years my 360 finally threw the RROD at me. I was in a bit of a foul mood tonight so it didn't help things, but I've calmed down. It happens, it's an early model machine, and I think it's going to be free to fix. And we have my wife's 360 to use in the interim. I say I think it's free because it said my warranty was expired (shouldn't be, less than 3 years) but said $0.00 charge. I've got the shipping label, just need to mail this out this week. Given how many of these they've fixed I'm not worried, as opposed to when I sent my PS2 in to be fixed (broken fan) and it came back broken cd reader, because they didn't put any packing or anything in the box. Fuckers.

My answer in the what's the problem box:

Red ring of death due to shitty manufacturing of earlier models. You know the deal, you've seen millions of these.

Don't worry, I may own a PS3 but I only bought it because they were discontinuing the backwards compatible with PS2 model. It just collects dust, and it still will while this is being repaired. I'll get by with the Nintendo Wii. Because remember when someone from the X-box division said people should buy both a Wii and a 360? So no complaining about those of us that have both, the Wii is a fun console. And no GOD DAMNED RED RING OF DEATH. On the other hand if it did die saving my downloads would be a bitch, versus the 360 where my profile stays on the harddrive or memory unit, so I don't have to worry when the system fails.

Man 1000 characters sure is a lot of space to fill huh? Usually I get cut off before I'm even close to running out of steam. I guess I'll use my last 100 characters to mention that NXE sucks and I miss the old dashboard. Fuck mandatory avatars. BINGO

They were really quick about fixing my 360. At this point they must be frigging experts.

I need £55 to fix mine at a local independant games trader. He applys the X-clamp fix. I would ship mine to Microsoft but since i have the firmware hacked to allow copies i fear they wont touch it, or send me one back unfirmware'D.

So over at Gamespot.com, there's a newsbit where someone whose supposedly a new informant that leaks gaming information out and he thinks Microsoft is going to release this information for E3 this year.

-The Motion Sensor Camera will be official and it's called "Xbox Fluid".

-MGS4 + Oxide is going to be ported over to Microsoft, it could be Microsoft's big finale.

-There's a top secret Konami game being released for the 360.

-A new GTA DLC coming in Christmas.

-We'll be seeing/hearing stuff about Alan Wake, Forza 3, Halo ODST, Bioshock 2, Lost Planet 2, Assassin's Creed 2, APB (???), and Splinter Cell; Conviction.

Odds are, this guy is really talking out of his ass, but if this is all true. Pretty cool, I can't wait to finally play MSG4.

Here's the link if anyone wants to read the article.

APB is essentially Cops & Robbers: The MMO, made by the Crackdown devs.

And it's a GTA killer? Damn.

RROD! Damn you, Microsoft!

Amazing, since I thought I had one of the later models- I just bought mine in April last year, so this was totally unexpected. Shitty.

^^ doubt it, the ps3 version completely filled the blu ray disk. Hence the stupid install times.

edit: Unless they release it multidisk style.

I had to send my 360 in for repairs... :-[ I didn't get the red ring, my video just went out. It was flashing weird colors for a couple days and when I went to call it in, no more video. Now I have to wait a few weeks and I have a pile of new games I want to play!

http://www.gamerbytes.com/2009/05/the_secret_of_monkey_island_co.php

Yes, it's been an awfully long time, but it appears that The Secret Of Monkey Island is coming back, and to the Xbox 360.

The German USK rating board has revealed that The Secret Of Monkey Island - Special Edition is on its way. This was the very original Monkey Island game, from all the way back in 1990. As for what makes it a Special Edition is currently unknown -- could they be re-doing the graphics? Could the game possibly have a voice cast?

So I borrowed Fable 2 from a friend.
This game is fun so far, but it's so in depth I feel like I can get lost. And the game doesn't really explain how to do anything very well. So I'm like "I'm doing stuff, but I wonder if I can be doing more?"
And there's so many quests, side quests, jobs, marriages, buying a house, travelling from here to there, spending time with your family, etc. it feels like I could play forever and never actually be on the main quest.
