Yes, it's been an awfully long time, but it appears that The Secret Of Monkey Island is coming back, and to the Xbox 360.

The German USK rating board has revealed that The Secret Of Monkey Island - Special Edition is on its way. This was the very original Monkey Island game, from all the way back in 1990. As for what makes it a Special Edition is currently unknown -- could they be re-doing the graphics? Could the game possibly have a voice cast?

Hopefully it's a Live Arcade title.

However, I really would like the fifth and final Monkey Island game (according to the Voodoo Lady in the game, she had a 5 game deal...)

I'm in the same boat. I mailed mine out last Monday morning. When I got home from work late Thursday night/early Friday morning I had a series of e-mails stating it's been received, it's been fixed, it's been shipped. Although it said it was going out Friday morning, I keep checking the tracking and it is saying that it hasn't really been picked up yet. With the holiday, I'm hoping to get it back by the end of the week. I know it is coming back quicker than the projected timeline, but I have a whole bunch of new games stacked up I am waiting to play.

Man, I wish the universal remote (which I intended to use purely as a DVD remote) had some sort of warning that it does not have the same wireless sensor technology as a standard Xbox controller. I know this probably all sounds very dumb, but the 360 is my primary DVD player thanks to the slight conversion in VQ I get by using the component cables. I was getting tired of wasting controller batteries just to watch DVDs (or, alternatively, was getting tired of popping the battery pack out and then back in between instances of me needing to use the controller for something) so I decided to just buy the DVD remote. So, long story not so short, my 360 currently sits behind my TV, taking advantage of the flatness of the television and the fact I have nowhere else to conveniently fit it, and that's not good enough for the remote. Pulling the console slightly closer to the edge of the TV stand, I was able to get it so If I extend my left arm up and out, I have a 50/50 chance of having a command work.

I bought Dead Rising for $20 at walmart, but just can't seem to get into it. I assume I'll get back to it after playing through some other games. I saw The Orange Box for 20 as well, so I'll pick that up this week.

The Orange Box is worth $20 just for Portal. Team Fortress 2 is atrocious, but the Half Life games are good.

According to the webpage my x-box arrived in Anchorage around 6 this morning, but they never brought it here, so hopefully I'll get it tomorrow or Monday. I say or Monday because I don't know if UPS delivers on Saturdays.

I'm not in any huge hurry and Monday is fine, it just would have been neat to get it today as that would have made it exactly two weeks since I sent it. So like an hour to fix it, and 2 weeks of shipping. Fun!

The reason why it screwed a bunch of people is because it reveals the answers one at a time, and the earlier you buzz in, the more points you get. So you just see 32 and hit it, and then you realize it says C, and you're like...FUUUUUUCK.

I had 17 people on my friend list playing, but I always got the "session is full" message. That happened to me and one other friend. Everyone else seemed to be having a gay old time playing. I was even on early and set a reminder.
