I've never bothered with wireless connections before, but now I have my 360 and computer set up in different rooms. If I have a Linksys WRT54G router, do I need anything besides this?

You need the 360 wireless adaptor. Sadly it doesn't have built in wifi.

That's what he posted a link to. Those selling for $100 is such bullshit.

Anybody need a year of Xbox Live Gold? There's a guy at Cheap Ass Gamer selling codes for $25. I bought one and it worked perfectly.

To continue something from a few weeks ago; I did end up with Ninja Gaiden 2.

a) it's gory as hell... I don't remember the one on the XBox being so violent and bloody
b) the camera angle gets lost sometimes; which is annoying and I feel like flicking RT in the middle of being swarmed by 45 friggin' ninjas not the best solution
c) the game is hard. as. fuck.

I'm only on chapter two and the mid-stage boss took me about 5-7 retries to get past and this end stage boss is whipping my ass every time. It doesn't help that I have no healing items and the save point bring me right to the boss.

I like the game, but I guess I forgot that Team Ninja makes their games hard. I now remember the two giant worm boss on the first Ninja Gaiden took me like 45 tries to get past.

I'm getting $200 total for my birthday at the end of this month. I'm going to have to spend $150 on the 120 GB hard drive. I deleted every non-essential item, but after installing Fallout 3's Operation Anchorage and The Pitt (someone at CAG is sending the disc around; we only pay shipping which is $5) and downloading GTA IV: The Lost and Damned, I'm down to like 586 MB of space.

I must recommend http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=230352239067 instead. He's got cases now, so you can buy a fully functional hard drive for $70 without having to tear yours apart.

Sounds a bit like Devil May Cry 4... my eyes were screaming for a rest after 30mins it was a bit intense.

FYI, Gamestop has HAWX, Mirror's Edge, and Bionic Commando for $20 each, new (among others).

I'm looking forward to Dragon Age: Origins in October.

Although I'm a bit curious as to what a "massively single player roleplaying game is" exactly...

Something strange is going on with my rechargable battery pack for one of my controllers. Battery is apparently dead. I plug in the charging cable and plug it into the 360 to charge while I play. After about five seconds, the little charging light goes from red to green, indicating a full charge. I unplug the charging cord, and boom, it's dead right away.

Anybody know how to deal with this?

You might just need a new battery for your controller. I think they only take so many charges before you have to replace it.

Mine was doing the same thing, but after leaving it plugged in for awhile it actually did charge the battery up nicely. So while I have NO idea why it suddenly worked, I'd say if you can use the controller plugged in for awhile and see if it eventually charges the battery.

Mine did that too. Along with a few other weird things. Just leave it plugged in while you're playing and it will charge...even if the indicator is lying to you.

It's the same as the on screen battery indicators when you go to the guide. They're rarely accurate.

I ended up getting The Force Unleashed for $19.99.

My play & charge battery gets really hot. That's probably not good.

Yeah. The guy keeps moving his eBay auctions around when he gets new stock.
It violates the hard drive warranty, but not the console's warranty, if it's any consolation.

I had no idea Bionic Commando finally came out, heh.

Yep, and it received middling reviews and dropped from $60-$20 in short order.

Played through it and beat it on a rental. I'd be up for discussing it in a thread if anyone cared.

FUCK the 360 experience dashboard.

The new dashboard is much, much better. It just takes some getting used to.

Andrew, I didn't get the game, but go for it.

You aren't the only one who hates it. Being able to install games is awesome, but I would have preferred that ability added to the old dash board. And fuck the avatars, they're awful.

I don't even have room to download an arcade game, much less install a disc based game. But avatars are awesome in Scene It and 1 vs. 100.

I had to send my 360 in for repairs... :-[ I didn't get the red ring, my video just went out. It was flashing weird colors for a couple days and when I went to call it in, no more video. Now I have to wait a few weeks and I have a pile of new games I want to play!

I'm starting to get the same problem with my 360, which happens to be a launch console as well... Have to disconnect then reconnect the video cable to fix the problem. I'm also starting to get cutscenes skipping when playing. It's already RROD twice and been sent away twice for repairs.

In my 20+ years of gaming, I have never had this many problems with a console before.

Sitting on 200 MB of hard drive space, I had to order the 120 GB drive. The estimated ship date is July 29th, though.

So I've essentially spent all my birthday money before I've received it, between the drive and SummerSlam tickets (plus related expenses).
