Looking down ballot. Felix Hernandez received 20.6% in his first year. Of his ten most similar players, one is not yet eligible and none of the other nine made it past the first ballot. Dave Stieb received 1.4% on his turn. I don't know if Hernandez ever makes it in, but that seems like a promising assessment for starting pitchers of this era.

- Mets signed INF Nick Madrigal to a one-year contract worth $1.35 Million if he makes the big league roster.
- Royals signed RHP Carlos Estévez to a two-year, $22 million contract.
- Brewers and C William Contreras avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract with a team option for the 2026 season. He'll make $6 Million with a $12 Million club option.
- Dodgers signed RHP Kirby Yates to a one-year, $13 million contract.

I wish Milwaukee would've signed Contreras for a few more years.

Surprised and obviously pleased Pete is coming back. Don't have a crap year in your walk year folks! He turned down a 7yr/158 million dollar deal two years ago!

Opt out after one year so this is probably happening again next off season.

I wanted the Red Sox to make a move for him but can understand why they didn't with Casas locked in at 1B and a smattering of DH-only options already on the roster.

Cubs offered him 4 years/120 mil and he went for the three years. I wanted Bregman, but that price is obscene.

Now it says the Cubs are interested in Justin Turner. He's really old, but I think he's worth a shot. The Cubs lacked power hitting at times last year, and adding Tucker already improves it. But, Turner is another guy that could still produce homers in clutch moments.
