Lauri Markkanen renegotiated and extended with the Jazz today for 5 years and $238 million. Signing today versus yesterday means he is locked in to Utah past the 24-25 trade deadline.
As a Jazz fan, I am pretty happy about this, because I don't think any of the deals out there were going to bring back a talented enough young player and the Jazz can still be a bottom 8 team (or worse) with him on the team.
