BC Snatches Victory 17-13 Over NC State

It took a 73 yard TD pass with North Carolina State blitzing, leaving just 36 seconds left for Boston College to pull out a much needed victory that now puts them at 5-6 on the season.

2 QBs for BC: 16/30 for 267 yards and 2 TD vs. 3 INT (2 by Shinskie, surprise surprise).
RB Montel Harris: 18 carries for 50 yards.
WR Donte Elliott: 7 catches for 113 yards and 1 TD. This guy bailed my ass on most passing plays.
CB Isaac Johnson: 1 Tackle, 1 Sack, 1 INT

NC State threw for just 99 yards but RB Curtis Underwood had 9 carries for 136 yards and 1 TD, including an 80 yarder.

Note: I had it on Conservative my 2nd possession on just to keep me in the game and dominate TOP. It worked. I had 20:37 TOP to NC State's 7:23.

Again, I'm having the same problems I had the last few games. I can't get the offense going in the first. If it wasn't for the motion play I called with Green, I would've only had 3 field goals in the first half. I guesss I can't complain too much because I'm still winning, but at some point, this is going to bite me in the ass.

I lost. The computer completely fucked me in overtime. I threw pass down at the two yard line, caught by my receiver in the air, he gets only one foot down, defender hits him, knocks the ball loose, recovered in the end zone. Should have been ruled incomplete but I wasn't allowed to challenge. Lame.

I also don't care what anyone says, passing is much harder since the latest patch/tuner while rushing is much easier.

I'm not saying its not Bored. But from the patch notes, nothing passing wise was touched besides CBs not beating the receiver on curl plays or plays in which they are running at the same speed as the WR. So it should make it easier if anything.

Also, running was one of the things that was being tagged as getting full fixes. So if its easier, then yes, that likely was supposed to happen.

I wasn't going to mention this till the off-season, but I'm fiddling with the sliders again. I apologize but with the latest tuning and patch, it needs to happen. Don't worry though, I'll have all the testing out of the way before the off-season, so that you'll get 5 whole days (how long our last off-season lasted) to mess with them.

Boston College Defense Melts Down in 27-24 Loss to Maryland

FUCK this defense. Maryland drives to my 36 yard line with 13 seconds left and me clinging to a 24-19 lead. It's 4th Down and I've been torched all game but somehow have been solid. Sure enough, my coverage goes stupid and allows a wide open TD catch to give Maryland the victory.

QB Dave Shinskie: 21/38 for 306 yards with 3 TD vs. 1 INT
RB Montel Harris: 10 carries for 50 yards
WR Colin Larmond: 5 catches for 123 yards and 1 TD

Maryland's Jamaar Robinson went 18/29 for 294 yards and 2 TD. RB Gary Douglas had 23 carries for 119 yards and 1 TD.

Week 13 is on. Sadly, HarleyQuinn lost and his record has dropped to 5-7. With the loss, he's being fired from Boston College. He'll need to select a new team this off-season. The shut out loss combined with a losing season pretty much assured he'd be the first person fired during this dynasty.

Hopefully his new team allows him to have some fun.

The biggest game on tap will be #3 Georgia @ #17 Georgia Tech.

Also congrats on Syracuse for getting ranked again at #22.

This is a game that everything should've gone wrong. That was before I remembered how to play against Option teams, and put them to rest. I lost HB Caleb King for the game, and had to replace him with Charles Thomas and Ken Malcome. Its funny though, I lose a HB, I get a shut out in return.

I only need to play against Boise State at Boise, finish my season against Bama and I'll be heading to the NC! Woo! I honestly did not think this team had it in them to get that far. But hopefully we can do it!

Now there's nothing left but the bps Bowl @ Buffalo between me and a ten-win season.

Also the Big East blows and even though I lost to Pitt, Pitt went on to lose to Louisville and West Virginia, handing me the Big East title and yet another trip to a BCS bowl. Orange Bowl here I come!

Week 14 is on folks! Two fucking huge games on hand as we've got #7 Stanford taking on #17 Cal which will likely take them past #5 TCU who's only playing North Texas this week.

But the really big game is #2 Georgia (woo!) taking on #4 Boise State (ack!) at Boise, Idaho. Both teams are undefeated. The team that got Lane Kiffin'd by me, for the team I currently did a Lane Kiffin for! Should be a hell of a match up.

Congrats to TCU as one of your 3 players is winning that Heisman trophy. There's not a lot that could be done, other than me finding it bullshit that you've got THREE players after the Heisman.

For those not paying attention the current Bowl games for us Users are as followed:

Eliminated From Bowl Games - Boston College
Reason - Experimented too much and took his own season to its grave.

Holiday Bowl - Colorado vs #7 Stanford
Reason - Apparently Stanford is slated as Pac-10's #3, so they get stuck with a crappy Bowl.

Fiesta Bowl - Texas vs #5 TCU
Reason - TCU flopped hard at the beginning of the season and strangely enough still is hurting them.

Orange Bowl - Miami vs #22 Syracuse
Reason - Syracuse got gifted the Big East Lead, so he gets to play the ACC Lead for the right to host some Oranges in a Bowl.

BCS National Championship - #2 Georgia vs #1 Alabama
Reason - ...I have no clue how this works. But I still have a SEC Championship game to play against Alabama. So if I beat them, I should by all rights end up with Texas as my opponent. But since they are at 1.000, I could still end up facing them yet again if I beat them, since I'm .994, instead of #3 Texas.

I honestly had my worst game defensively. If it wasn't for 3 turnovers Boise had, and 5 points missed via kicks (2 XP, 1 FG), I'd probably be writing up how I lost my first game this season.

I totally flubbed this game. I should've lost this game. I guess I'll go figure out what I did wrong and prepare for the monumental task of playing Alabama. That game doesn't look like it'll be fun anymore.

I apologize about that Bored. I said I made a mistake about the zone defense being tougher. Just like last season, I skipped over the final week. However, for Conference I couldn't do that unless I wanted to screw myself out of the National Championship.

Here's the current Bowl projections for users:
No Bowl Game - Boston College
Reason - He really sucks and needs to tell me, officially in this thread, his new team that he wishes because BC fired him.

Holiday Bowl - #12 Stanford
Reason - Lost two close games and has now put himself into a hole.

Sugar Bowl - #4 TCU, #22 Syracuse
Reason - TCU bombed its first game and never recovered. Syracuse got gifted its Big East title. Boise State threw a pick within its last two minutes to make sure I'm not playing in this game.

BCS National Championship - #1 Georgia
Reason - I get voted 1st place thanks to Boise State throwing a pick within its last two minutes to give me a close game.

We've got a few scenarios for this National Championship game that will make some news. I'm only posting these possibilities because I nearly choked against Boise State.

Scenario 1 - What I would like to have happen
#1 Georgia beats #2 Alabama by a 10-14 point margin and knocks Alabama out of the race. This kicks Alabama out of the race and gives the only other undefeated team ranked high a chance for glory, #3 Texas, the opportunity to play for the National title. The world is a better place because of this.

Scenario 2 - What will likely happen
#1 Georgia beats #2 Alabama by a point margin of 5 or less. This allows Alabama to still have the respect of the BCS system that we get to do this all over again. #3 Texas could still have a chance to sneak in here.

Scenario 3 - What I don't want to happen
#1 Georgia loses to #2 Alabama by a point margin of 5 or less. This still allows #1 Georgia to have a shot at #2 Alabama all over again. #3 Texas has even less of a chance to sneak in in this scenario.

Scenario 4 - What will make me cry
#1 Georgia losses to #2 Alabama by a point margin of 5 or less. This takes #1 Georgia out of the race, and practically gift wraps #3 Texas' BCS title hopes.

Scenario 5 - What will make me howl in disgust
#1 Georgia beats #2 Alabama by a wide margin of victory. #3 Texas loses to #19 Nebraska. This allows #4 TCU to get a back door invite into the BCS and I seriously... DO, NOT, WANT, TCU.

I thought I'd post those up for you guys to wonder while I go and play my game against Georgia.

Bored you'll be facing off against Nebraska. Same Bowl, just a different team because Nebraska lost to Texas.

Cartman and oldskool, you two will still face off against one another at the Sugar.

And yes, I beat Alabama. Once again, mistakes and turnovers by my opponent aided my defense and my offense. I actually took none of my usual risks in this game and played as the Tide's defense came to me, instead of gambling or trying to make something happen. That might sound odd, but I've never played conservative all season. Maybe I should do so more often, considering the success I had.

Army Hires David Hunter As New Head Coach

Army announced in an 11 AM Eastern press conference that former Boston College head coach, David Hunter, had been hired as their new head coach. Coach Hunter was not on hand but did send out a press release saying he respected the tradition Army has had in college football and is excited at the opportunity to take over the program and restore them to past levels of winning football.

The Dean of the school said he was impressed with Coach Hunter's season last year and his preparation for games in the two seasons he was coach of Boston College. He mentioned he was also impressed with the way Coach Hunter was able to utilize the Option at points of the season, including a 27-24 loss to Wake Forest. Despite the record, Coach Hunter's Eagles had still managed 241 points and allowed 286.

The Army Cadets finished out the 2011 Season with a record of 1-11 on the season and scored just 112 points while allowing 416 on the season. This will be a very tough task and Coach Hunter is expected to take over a struggling program.

The bright spots are the youth that Army has offensively and defensively. RB Lonnie Liggins will be a RS Junior next year and ran for 560 yards and scored 5 TD. MLB Nate Combs will be a Senior and comes off a 98 tackle, 1.5 Sack season. CB Robert Spieldel will also be back as a RS Junior and tied for the team lead in Interceptions with 3.

Army will lose its top 2 receivers, both Seniors in Davyd Brooks and Austin Barr. The duo combined for 1,148 yards and 2 TD. They also lose their Captain OLB Steve Erzinger who finished with 126 tackles and 2.5 Sacks along with Senior DT Chrispoher Swain who led the team with 4 Sacks.

On year 3 the only way you'll get fired is if you do worse than your previous 2 seasons with that team. And even then, it needs to be drastically worse.
