I was surprised we're going back down to Varsity. I played one game as Miami at Florida State and won easily 28-6. Tough to really gather too much insight out of one game but they seemed okay.

And I'm done with Week 3.

I was surprised we're going back down to Varsity. I played one game as Miami at Florida State and won easily 28-6. Tough to really gather too much insight out of one game but they seemed okay.

Part of the return to Varsity is less "psychic" play calling ability on All-America and greater success with WR Screens/Play Action passes in general.

Also it varies game to game as teams still play up/play down to their competition. I had a 31-7 halftime lead over BYU as Hawaii in one game and proceeded to meltdown in the 2nd half to the point where I barely won 45-38. The very next week, I lost to Western Michigan 23-20 in part because they had a 5'7" RB who had 96 Speed/98 Acceleration and gashed me for almost 190 yards.

Its like with NHL, the jump from the normal (varsity) level difficulty to the next is that it doesn't play as naturally as it should. So we're moving back to it next season.

Played another game with the sliders I'm definitely leaning towards them too easy, feels like season 1. I was Michigan State at Penn State and I just obliterated them 55-21. Passing in particular is a breeze against the computer, which after all my whining after the tuner adjustment should tell you something. I completed 20 of 24 pass for four touchdowns against a Penn State secondary with two 90 OVR corners and two 88 OVR safeties.

And my recruiting is officially complete because the sim gave me 2 of the 4 I was after & that's 25/25. I don't know which two, naturally, but they were soft commits elsewhere which means either they signed thanks to my week 2 performance or the CPU is really good.

CPU is pretty good at signing people. Just waiting on Cartman and we'll advance to Week 5.

As for the sliders, we can increase the difficulty to All-American. However not all plays will work. Screens and a few other trick plays will be null and void if we do so, because All-American is stupid with things like that.

What's the point of having screens be viable by leaving it on Varsity if you can just run the same 2-3 patterns and consistently get open because the Varsity defense is too soft?

Leave it on Varsity, but up the defensive pass sliders some.

I didn't say we couldn't make some tweaks defensively if it needs to be done. We can definitely tweak the defensive pass sliders to compensate.

After looking at my current roster not including recruits, it's gonna get much tougher to continue the EPIC TCU rushing attack going forward. The offensive line was a huge contributor. 2 major parts of that line have graduated and the last 3 are all seniors this year. This will also be the last year for 2 of the greatest HB's of all time, Matthew Tucker and Ed Wesley.

Did a test run in terms of tweaking the sliders with Penn State (Me) against Miami. It turned out pretty well and the future sliders should likely have 5 User QB Accuracy (0 causes too many errant passes and at 5, your QB's abilities matter more) and 60 or 65 CPU Pass Coverage (The 65 was slightly tougher completion % wise but passes could still be completed down field).

My totals were 29/48 (60.4%) for 447 yards (9.31 YPA) and 1 TD vs. 2 INT. Take out the 69 yard TD (on an out route and broken tackle) and that becomes 28/47 for 378 and 0 TD vs. 2 INT.

And man, I ended up signing 4 HBs this off-season. Turns out my athlete I signed, Aaron Rivera makes as good a HB as a WR (better really), so I've got 3 HBs of 4 to bench for the coming season. Fun times, fun times.

Well seems like we're almost done Position Changes. Can't believe we're already through 2 seasons. Quite incredible really.

Also, I'd like to mention that you'll have 1 game change on top of any FCS games you are scheduled. So if you've got an FCS game scheduled, you'll be able to change it and one other game. Instead of having to waste it on changing that game. So if you've got 2 FCS games, you've got 3 games you get to have changed. This season any home and away games you wish to change, you may. I hear they fixed that, so we can do it now.

Whipped through my position changes and definitely bolstered Army quite a bit. Several players improved from upper OVR in the 40's to the high 50's or even low 60's.

My coupe de grace was converting a WR who was around 62-63 OVR to TE where he became a 74 OVR.
