NCAA 11 Dynasty (Season 2, Bowl Season) - PS3

To correct HQ. I was up 24-21 on Texas. Houston gets a sack, causes a fumble and Washington scoops it up and I go up 31-21. First play of the next drive? Hail Mary that connects and the WR breaks a few ankles and gets the TD. 31-28. I get the ball back, but get stuffed trying to run the clock so I need to punt. I back them up to the goal line again with a few more sacks by Houston, but I just miss taking down the QB and he finds the guy who snags it and carries it out of bounds. They make another huge toss with like little to no time left, do a hurry up, spike the ball, with 1 second left on the clock. A field goal insures we're going to OT. Texas first play gets them a TD so I'm down 38-31. On my drive, I've got 4th and a little bit, scramble Murray out of the pocket and toss the most God awful pass into huge coverage, but I take control of Green, and manage to secure it for the tying TD.

This is where I'm still debating if I should've went for it anyways. I got to 4th and only 4 to go for the TD, but I elect to kick a field goal instead, thinking that my defense can't continually fuck up. And when I say defense, I speak of the secondary, because my front seven have been beastly all game. 41-38 UGA and I'm all smiles.

Well, I manage to get them to 3rd and 6 and they scored on a good pass and the WR breaking 6 tackles. However, it gets negated due to clipping and I rejoice. ...until the next play which is just a lob to a wide open WR who I was covering in fucking MAN coverage with 2 safeties in ZONE, but everyone let's him just safely snag it. 44-41 end game.

I'm not really mad that I lost, just frustrated.

fun, the first half I was really nervous as I never played against anything but the CPU so far. The QB was pissing all kinds of throws but none were picked off thankfully. Heisman winner Tucker went for over 300 and 5 TD's. I definitely think the team rating were a big factor though and I look forward to a rematch down the road when the teams are more even.

Concerning the offseason. Do you guys just want me to advance past Players Leaving and Transfers? Or do you people really want to waste time on Players Leaving to keep, and also see which Players transferred to your program? Asking because I'd like to know before that.

I definitely don't want to skip players leaving as my best offensive and defensive player are probably both going to try to jump to the NFL.

I also think you can skip the Transfers but like Cartman said, players leaving is HUGE. Especially since top players often try to bolt when they're RS Juniors and it's in the team's best interest to try and keep them around for another season.

Don't worry, from what I have seen in my other 2 person dynasty all the teams get worse than the original rosters. The recruits just never get close to being as good as the starting rosters.

Both Tucker and Ed Wesley tried to leave, but they loved my coaching so much they both decided to stay. TCU ground game lives another year!

I had three juniors attempting to jump the NFL and one freshman wanting a transfer to Oregon and I convinced them all to stay, including my star linebacker Shayne Skov who might reach 99 OVR after training. Andrew Luck didn't attempt to leave so I guess throwing all those interceptions did result in one good thing. Only have had ten seniors so I better fuck shit up next year.

We're ready to advance.

Tuner Pack 4 - Update to In-Season Progression

- During the season some of your players on your team will get small gains to some of their ratings
- Will show in Edit Roster Screen in the form of +1 (or another number) next to a player rating
- Will NOT affect every player, only some will Progress
- On average only a few players per team will see a +1 in Overall (OVR) gain over the course of a full season

- Will work when Siming, you do not need to play every game for it to occur
- Will change other attributes per position other than OVR, for example Awareness (AWR) is a rating that normally sees a jump.

Here are the new Sliders Flik and I have been testing out since roughly Week 4 of the season. Flik deleted it by accident... Anyway the goal with these sliders is two fold.

- Make the run game a little tougher for the User and much improved for the CPU (e.g. they can actually get 100-150+ yards on you).
- Make the pass rush for the USER tougher. Elite teams averaged around 4 sacks a game in real life last year. This should help you get around 1-6 a game depending on opponent talent level.

As usual, do some test runs. If you do a test, please do a variety of them first before any complaints. Examples would be a B Team vs. B Team, B Team vs. C Team, B Team vs. A Team, etc. Also realize that attributes/team overalls will have some effect so if a guy runs for 190 on you, he may just be that damn good. Hopefully we've mimicked the All-American level but on Varsity level (where screens and PA passes can be slightly more effective).

Anything not listed should be the default from the last Sliders.

I'll definitely have to test these sliders out as the change between last off-season screwed me up in week 1. I can't wait to give up ridiculous rushing yards to the CPU now!

It won't be that bad. ^_^ Honestly I was only giving up 80-100 yards total. Then again I'm really good at rush defense. But still, it just stops teams like me from leading the lead in rush defense against SEC teams by going only 50 per game.

On top of that, since you're TCU in a relatively weak division, you'll probably still allow 65-80 total, Cartman but some games will vary.

Along with the Speed Threshold, the improved Run Block (and especially the RB Ability) should lead to more broken tackles in general for the CPU. A great back will gash your D more often than not in comparison to mediocre backs or average backs.

The really exciting thing is that it makes different backs have to be defended differently. A speedy back with 90+ speed is noticeably fast and requires a fast D to contain well. A bigger back with say 85 speed may be slower but his 80+ strength/break tackle will require your D to be able to tackle well unless you want him gashing you more by breaking tackles than straight speed.
