NCAA 11 Dynasty (Season 1, Bowl Week) - PS3
Decided to replicate Bored's test with 7 Minute Quarters, Slow Speed, and FG Power down to 50 (from 60). Kickoff power also got dropped to 50 from 60 and USER Catch is at 45. I also used Iowa's base playbook.
Iowa (Me) vs. Nebraska (CPU)
Iowa: 19 Points
Plays: 43
Yards: 206
Passing: 10/15 138 Yards
Rushing: 28 att 68 Yards [Without QB it becomes 25 for 75]
Nebraska: 3 Points
Plays: 42
Yards: 192
Passing: 15/24 153 Yards
Rushing: 18 att 39 Yards [Without QB it becomes 13 for 57]
Random Observations
- Slow Speed is definitely the ideal. I was getting consistent pressure on Nebraska's QB and players felt fast.
- The player abilities seemed to affect things. Some of my kickoffs were still going a yard or two into the endzone despite the knock down. I couldn't run much since Nebraska's LBers were insanely fast. Nebraska hit me with a couple big runs but went away from the running game when I started to pull ahead.
- Passing was perfectly fine. I had to resort to little short dump off passes and turn those into YAC plays to get any semblance of yardage. I did the same thing as Bored, using the middle with the TE to expose their blitzing tactics. I think my long was only around 20 yards though.
- We combined for 85 plays. A little low despite neither team going very fast tempo wise. That's including their hurry up with around 1:20 left in the game.
- Punt power seemed perfectly fine. I had 2 punts for a 47.0 average. Nebraska had 4 punts for a 48.5 average. If it gets knocked down, maybe by just 5.
- If you throw in the punts, field goals, and penalties, the total plays rises up to 101.
