Finally updated folks. Sorry for the delay. And its looking like the ACC title game is now shaping up to be an automatic BCS Title shot if both #4 Boston College and #6 Syracuse continue their winning ways.

Still the same 5 guys for the Heisman, though Boise's Shoemaker manages to take the third spot away from TCU's Tucker. To be honest, still can't believe we've got 4 of 5 spots locked up by two teams. And its the two teams that played the last two years in a row against each other and will likely continue that trend if lucky has its way.

BC & SU play in the regular season finale, so somebody's winning ways are coming to a halt at the worst possible time.

And all I've gotta do is put away UCONN when I get home and I'm goin' BCS bowling regardless with the Big East automatic qualification bid.

Also guys, honestly don't use me as an example of "ok, he's scoring so much, we need the difficulty up". I'm being an absolute asshole to CPU right now. I've had way too many close games in the past and so I've been planning on this season to show CPU that I'm that much better than him. Therefore, you guys really shouldn't use me as an example. At all.

Boise State beats Fresno State 70-28. Kellen Moore was 31 of 44 for 581 yards and 7 TDs (with one boneheaded redzone INT).

Though the big story of that game is that Boise State has lost Pettis for the remainder of the season. Though, Shoemaker more than filled Pettis' shoes going with a mind boggling 18 receptions for 306 yards and 6 TDs.

I'm more concerned about TCU than you, Flik. I mean TCU's SS is well on his way to a Heisman trophy thanks in part to pretty much wrapping up the career sack record in one season, and that's ahead of his 2 RBs that are now 1-2 in single-season rushing TDs and the #1 RB also commandeered the single-season rushing yardage record.

Boston College Survives Virginia 34-24

Quarterback Dave Shinskie remains the toast of the Eagles campus after throwing for 395 yards and 4 TD on 47 pass attempts. Montel Harris had 16 carries for 83 yards but the receivers were the stars. Donte Elliott had 6 catches for 96 yards while Colin Larmond had 6 catches for 103 yards and 2 TD. Clyde Lee had 6 catches for 78 yards and a TD and Ryan Lindsey had 5 catches for 64 yards.

Defensively, Mark Herzlich had 5 tackles and 2 more sacks for the Eagles.

I know I made a rule how you can only switch a team if you do poorly or under special circumstances, but for the benefit of this dynasty, I'm changing teams and conferences.

I can't see how this is helping Boston College, Illinois (who will be joining us in Year 2), Stanford, and Syracuse feel good when I can just rape teams every year because it'll be at least a good decade before the rest of the WAC even gets close to a challenge.

So with that said, I'm pulling a Kiffin and I'll be moving to the ESS EEE SEE for Year 2. This sucks though because I was looking forward to my recruiting class. T_T

I'm still not totally decided on which team I'll over take, but I'll let you know in the coming days.

Huge week in our dynasty. We've got Boston College vs Syracuse and whoever wins is definitely going to the BCS Title game. But that's not all, Boise has a chance to crash the party as well with a win over USC. And Stanford can move up in the rankings with a win over Oregon State.

Its a crying shame that TCU is on yet another bye week. A big game right now would've given them a chance for the National title since they are somehow still #8.

On the dynasty front, I'm currently tinkering with the sliders to see if I can cut down on the gaudy passing stats and so far it looks like a success. There will also be a decrease in the allotted time per quarter from 8 to 7 for next season, so we'll see how that works. And yes, my transfer from Boise to SEC is still going to occur. I haven't officially taken a team, as my loyalty is to Boise until the season ends, but as soon as it does, I'll announce which team I'm moving too.

I have no idea how I got out of my game with a win. I couldn't stop the run, I couldn't stop the pass, and I couldn't get my run going.

The only things I could do? Was pass every down and with less than 5 seconds on the clock, make a field goal go short left and miss for the win over USC.

Just... I can't believe I got out of that with the win. I had no business winning that. Nothing went my way. If it wasn't for the passing, I would've been dead. I had penalty after penalty called against me. I kept having things go wrong at the worst possible time.

Wow, I'm going to go drink something in celebration. Damn that was a hell of a victory.

All my championship hopes died in week 1 when I was not used to the settings difference from my offline dynasty. Hopefully next year I can get a tougher non-conference schedule to compensate for the crap conference.

After testing, I've come to the decision that I will need to look at increasing the difficulty. I'm not guarenteeing it, but I figured I should let everyone know that next season we may need to do that. I'll be attempting a few trial runs later today, and I'm also going to be testing it with the trial sliders. Hopefully everything goes well.

If it presents more of a challenge than with the trial sliders and Varsity, then everything will be well. I'll let you know how that goes tomorrow.

They must have just updated the online dynasty page, because I'm seeing a lot more team logos than I was before. The Top 25 was just a list of teams but now it's got the logo alongside the team name, there's logos next to team names on the "Last Game" & "Next Game" portion of the left sidebar...

EDIT: Just joined a 1* only dynasty on another forum as Idaho, and holy fuck recruiting is going to be a bitch. I can't believe I'm hyping Idaho's championship contender status but at C it's one of my better pitches.

To Oldskool: Thanks for the fun game. There were several moments where you had me worried that you would start to make a storming comeback.

Boston College Manhandles Syracuse 49-18

From the opening drive, it was clear that the Syracuse secondary was over matched and and it showed. Quarterback Dave Shinskie mixed darts over the middle with deep lobs for touchdowns and Syracuse had no answer. Shinskie would go 24 of 35 for an astonishing 442 yards with 5 TDs and 1 costly pick at the goal line.

Also enjoying success was RB Rolandolo Finch who scored 1 TD and ran for 127 yards on 15 carries. Ryan Lindsey led BC receivers with 7 catches for 121 yards but it was Donte Elliott who shined with 6 catches for 166 yards and 3 TD.

Defensively the Eagles had 4 sacks from Mark Herzlich, Alex Albright, Wayne Thompson, and Mike Morrissey.

For the technically inclined, you can check out the OD page & watch the opening touchdown where BC's wideout decided to do some contact juggling before hauling it in, and an early second half touchdown one of my linebackers didn't take too kindly towards.

Harley: I had no chance at coming back. At all. Originally I was going to chew the clock the entire game just to try to minimize your offensive possessions in hopes of keeping it close, but the opening drive where I got 3 got me thinking I could keep up and well, everyone can see how that change in mentality turned out for me.

I don't believe this, but Boston College got screwed. They beat the #6 team, but are still far behind the #2 and #1 teams in the NCAA. Ohio State has 1499 points, Alabama has 1461 points, while BC has 1394. Its the biggest travesty there in, because the game of Boston College vs Syracuse should've given the winner an automatic NCS berth, but I guess BC will need to wait till next year.
