Serves Harley right for stealing all my 3* guys.

Well... Massachusetts > New York!

Also in a linked blog the guy who posted the details above also posted a chart of the team OVR something like 6-7 seasons down the line. Before the tuning 81% of the teams ranged from C+ to D-! Now with the tuning, 72% ranged from B+ to C-.

So the top teams should remain more consistent year to year considering the quality of their recruits while the lower tier teams (Tulane, SMU, etc.) should still be around 63-68 OVR since they can land more 2 and 3* recruits without fear that a team like USC will steal 5 or 6 of their ** guys.

Actually Cartman, since our players haven't actually joined the team legitimately, there's a good chance they will be as good as they would be if we played out the season. Don't forget, the tuning happened while the season is still going on.

Sorry for not updating the league earlier today, I was kinda beat and ill so it didn't make for a good combination. I'll get my tuning out of the way and update the league if everyone's done (which I think everyone is).

The current recruits will not benefit from the tuning patch as they have already been generated. The only thing they will get is better progression through the next 4 years, which is not bad at all. I was just saying that the next batch of recruits that we will be going after next season will be a bit better because of this patch.

Ah, I see. Anyways, sorry that I haven't updated yet. Kinda had other things on my mind, so didn't get it done. I'll go check if we're ready and if so, I'll move us along.

Hurray! After my internet was down for two hours straight, finally got this updated.

So what is the big news in Week 10? Well, I would say that Syracuse jumping to #12 and Boston College being at #5 are huge. Should be interesting to see if Boise can hold on to being the lead for user players, and TCU might be able to get up into the Top 5 with a win against Utah this week.

In recruiting news from Boise, Top 150 pick, Daryl Wallace (Guard) and Arnold Mitchell (Tackle) have both signed commitments to Boise. Some good signings, and with that, Boise only needs to acquire a MLB and a kicker to satisfy position needs.

Also, I need to congratulate TCU on scoring 10 4* recruits. Hell of a haul you've got going on there.

5 Boston College Holds On Over Wake Forest
Eagles win on the road 33-21

The defining moment came when the Eagles were up 17-14. They managed an astonishing 16 play, 80 yard drive that took up 9:33 off the clock and culminated in a TD run up the middle. That helped push the game away and gave the Eagles the room they needed to take home the victory. A holding penalty at the end of the game that resulted in a safety was the clincher.

Quarterback Dave Shinskie struggled going 10 of 21 for 227 yards with 3 TD but also throwing 2 INT. Montel Harris and Rolandan Finch picked up the slack on the ground combining for 95 yards and 1 TD on 24 carries. Colin Larmond was the big play specialist hauling in 3 catches for 129 yards and 3 TD.

Defensively Alex Albright had 2 sacks while SS Jim Noel, DT Bryan Murray, and LOLB Mark Herzlich each added their own.

Only if they manage to beat Syracuse for the right, and I'll be damned if I let him ruin my parade down Boise City.

Syracuse thrashes Louisville 34-7. Everyone should, once again, go check out the OD page to see a couple nice screenshots.
Specifically, Chew forgetting to look for the ball and letting it hit him in the name plate on what should've been a huge completion, and a very special fumble-forcing GOARGOARGOAR.

Can we get the game clock turned down for future seasons? We're all blowing people out & running up stats like crazy.

Once again had the fucking game freeze on me at the end game loading screen. It's not even the kind of freeze where you have to hold the power button until you hear the 3 beeps like I get other times in other games, no, it's just every 2-3 games I play it gets to the end game loading screen and locks up forever. I'll try to play again in the morning.

You can still run up the score with 6 or 7 minute quarters, but it means I won't be spending 15-20 minutes grinding through the last half of a blowout waiting for their offense to once again fail so I can get back to conservatively blazing through the clock.

You could always just sim the 4th quarter if you're up big. I've done that before.

Of course this also maybe a sign that we need to bump up the difficulty in season 2.

Yeah I supersimmed most of the two FCS games. A bump up in difficulty isn't wholly unopposed.

Uh, what I meant is I cause a lot of my running up. If I really wanted to, I can have low scoring affairs right now. I choose not to because a) I'm in the WAC, I need all the impressiveness I can get and b) I have been trying to understand quarterback play better because before this NCAA season, I really sucked at it.

I could turn on the feature that drains 15 seconds from the count down clock, if people are going automatically after figuring out what play to run. I didn't think everyone would actually rush through and be like me in that as soon as my guys are set.

It could also mean we need better opponents. I don't know about you, but have you seen my competition in WAC? I don't have a single school ranked better than D or C. There is a huge difference between a B team and a C/D team (unless that C/D team is Tulane). And if you look, nearly all the close games are games that the team is as good as your team or better.

I'd rather first try fixing things with changing the sliders.

Also oldskool, if you had problems with your FCS games, I'd be very worried.

I wouldn't mind knocking quarter length down to maybe 7 minutes. Although I too think it's a matter of opponent quality. If you look at the front page, outside of Boise State, most of us have had at least 2 games with tight scores. Several of us have won games on the final drive culminating in the winning TD in the final seconds.

Almost all of my opponents have been roughly around B or B- level overall and it's showed in a handful of games (Notre Dame, Florida State, Maryland, and Clemson).

Yea, and almost all of my games have been against C for Cupcake teams which allowed me to run up scores at will.

No idea why I'm awake right now, but I finished my recruiting for the week. Snagged a 3* recruit, apparently just by moving him up on the board.

Got a whopping 0 points for offering some punter a scholarship I'd already offered him & revoked when I kicked him off my board to make room for some reason. Michigan State can enjoy their new punter, I guess. Looking more & more like I'll be using a walk-on as my punter next year!

Wait till the off-season and a new one should spawn. Then put 6 hours into him every single time.

Boston College has officially moved ahead of Boise State in the Top 25 rankings. Just wanted to point that out in case not enough people knew ;)

Boston College Adds Two More Recruits to 2011 Class
#64 RB Joel Crawford - Comes in at 5'10 and 173 pounds out of West Hempstead, NY. Rated ***
#45 WR Ryan Dickerson - Comes in at 6'0 and 190 pounds out of Manchester, NH. Rated ***

That now gives 11 *** Commits to Boston College for the 2011 Season

#4 Boston College Blows Out Duke 59-3

The final quarter of the game largely consisted of the second team offense as the Eagles marched to an easy victory, leaving them 10-0 on the season with two games left on their schedule. Boston College did pull out a wrinkle, going to a more conventional Pro offense for this game. "We wanted to get our running game going a bit and provide something different. We have a tough Syracuse team coming up and figured we could try and make them have to study just a bit harder," commented David Hunter.

Quarterbacks Dave Shinskie and Mike Marscovetra combined to go 18/24 (75%) for 305 yards with 5 TD vs. 0 INT. On the ground, Montel Harris carried the ball 21 times for 175 yards rushing and 2 TD.

Defensively team captain Mark Herzlich had 7 tackles, 3 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery.

If, and I really stress, if, I get ousted being #1 or #2, I'm moving to the SEC.

That's all.

Tried to play my game 4 times so far and it's freezing at different times each game. Twice at the ending loading screen and twice in game. The latest occurance was preceded by the sound completely going out for a few minutes first and then the freeze as I scored a TD. I have been reading that other people on both systems are having these issues so maybe I need to get a new copy. Will walmart or bestbuy do straight exchanges without a reciept?

If you bought it from Best Buy and you don't have the receipt, they'll have it on file. If you've got a warranty through them, that would be even better.

Apparently, I'm getting a DNS error with my PS3, so it might take a little while for us to hit week 12, since I don't know what's causing it.

Stupid PS3.

Edit: Still not working, I've got no idea what's wrong. Might need to reset my PS3 at this rate.
