No way it's a real bear. PETA would be all over that shit nowadays. I'm assuming those bears that the old timers used to wrestle were abused like crazy to break them down so they would be "safe".

Darius Carter won ECWA's Super 8 tournament.

I know the tournament isn't what it was in the '00s but geez, having Darius Carter win it feels like an expansion team selecting Anthony Bennett with their first pick.

Am I mostly bitter that Ricky Morton didn't win? Yes!

I was rooting for Erica Leigh but I figured they wouldn’t book a woman to win the first time one entered the tournament.

The Super 8 has been a bucket list event for me to go to for years, and we were at this show. The fans wanted her to win, too. It was incredible how crazy it got. There were maybe 100 people there due to the venue not being very big, but you'd have thought there were a few hundred there.

I was a little bit disappointed in the the names announced for the event, mainly because it used to be a who's who of the biggest names on the indies, but instead we got mostly local to the NY-NJ-PA talent that are on the same shows all the time. It ended up being a very fun show to be at. My daughter was going nuts for Erica, and broke down when Carter won (she doesn't understand it's scripted so when she gets into it, it's hard to reign her back in).

Erica's character is essentially a teenage girl (in the best way) so she's perfect for that demographic. My daughter saw her last year at the Reel Rumble and we'll get to see her again at a show in early May (Bash At the Brewery in Easton, PA).

@Valeyard, I'll be honest. That show has Leigh, Edith Surreal and Willow Nightingale appearing and I'm more excited to see any of them than Scarlett. There's only so many photos of me next to attractive women that aren't my wife that I need.

Erica has gotten much better over the past couple of years, but I'm not big on her Poo poo, pee pee stuff. It's over, so it's working, though.

Edith, I absolutely adore, and Willow is one of the best around today.

I have big shows coming up over the next couple of months, but the one I'm looking forward to the most is the Pride and Vibe weekend in June. It's going to be the biggest celebration of queer wrestling talent in the country. A whole weekend of shows where almost everyone on the cards is part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I've been to one show run by the company, Paris is Bumping (which is on IWTV), and it was the most fun I've ever had at a show. They had another show a while back, The Casandro Cup, that my daughter was watching with me, and it was great for her. She's see a lot of LGBTQIA+ talent (she loves EFFY), but there was some talent that was "over the top", for lack of a better term, so she would ask me if someone was a girl or boy, so it was a great way to try to teach her about gender. I'm taking her to the weekend with me since there are a lot of talent there that she knows and likes. I'm also going to be bringing my dad with me. He's gotten back into wrestling over the past 2 years, and I've started to take him to some shows with me (he came to the Super 8 with us), and I'm very excited for him to experience the shows. He's very much pro LGBTQIA+ (even though he's a registered Republican, but he's more center and openminded), so it should be a wild weekend.

I was tempted by the Pride and Vibe weekend but it's pricy, and Belle & Sebastian running that Friday in Philly sealed that deal.

There's a screen printing company called Lehigh Valley Apparel Creations that runs occasional shows including the Bash At the Brewery show I mentioned and the Reel Rumble. Quite LGBT friendly.

Yeah, LVAC is huge with that community. I want to get to one of their shows one day. The weekend is very pricey, but I figured for 2 shows it was worth it. I'm not going to be going to many GCW Atlantic City shows this year due to it costing a lot between hotel, gas, and tickets, so doing one big weekend is worth it.

I might never get over my annoyance over Beyond Wrestling putting Crusade for Change over as unbeatable, weaselly mid card heel stable then stop booking them before they could get their come uppance in 2015-16.

Taya Vs Morrison, loser does dishes for life

Taya brought their dishes with her and it turned into them smashing dishes, using brillo pads and clorox all over the place. SUPER fun
