I've now both heard this song and seen the video. I second Kinetic's feelings about the song's unexceptionalness, and I'll piggyback on his wondering about the presence of the morbidly obese dancer. He's too fat by any sensible standard; parading him in this video as if his kind of body type is OK, too, is irresponsible. I briefly considered that the viewer is meant to laugh at him, but no, that would run counter to the song's message.
It's difficult to have a serious conversation about the dangers of obesity when too many people are content to act as if being extremely overweight isn't a problem. Earlier this year, an obese co-worker of mine died of a heart attack. He was only 33. After his death but before we knew the cause, most of us in the office assumed heart attack—he was fat, yes, but he was also perpetually red-faced and prone to sweat under even the mildest exertion; think Rob Ford—while a few were appalled we jumped right away on his weight being a factor. Of course it was a heart attack. Massive heart failure tends not to happen to 33-year olds.
Anywho, song's whatever but the video undermines the message.
