This is the current number one song in the country. Fuck you America.

The dancing fat guy in the video is so monstrously overweight that it makes the song's message of body-positivity for contemporary plus-sized American teens and tweens feel almost irresponsible. A little extra booty is one thing, but obesity is the most significant public health crisis we face today. Hate to say it, but the video really should be prefaced by a warning from the Surgeon General. #notonemorefatty

Song isn't any worse than a bunch of other things talked up by certain posters here. I'm way out of touch with modern pop music and usually find it grating when I am exposed to it, but this really didn't bother me.

I've not knowingly heard this song. How likely is it that a single listen will be enough for it to get stuck in my head? "Rude" did that to me.

I've now both heard this song and seen the video. I second Kinetic's feelings about the song's unexceptionalness, and I'll piggyback on his wondering about the presence of the morbidly obese dancer. He's too fat by any sensible standard; parading him in this video as if his kind of body type is OK, too, is irresponsible. I briefly considered that the viewer is meant to laugh at him, but no, that would run counter to the song's message.

It's difficult to have a serious conversation about the dangers of obesity when too many people are content to act as if being extremely overweight isn't a problem. Earlier this year, an obese co-worker of mine died of a heart attack. He was only 33. After his death but before we knew the cause, most of us in the office assumed heart attack—he was fat, yes, but he was also perpetually red-faced and prone to sweat under even the mildest exertion; think Rob Ford—while a few were appalled we jumped right away on his weight being a factor. Of course it was a heart attack. Massive heart failure tends not to happen to 33-year olds.

Anywho, song's whatever but the video undermines the message.

The song's message is weird because the chick singing it isn't really big at all. She may be bigger than most other pop stars but it's not like she's overweight or obese by any means.

Okay, I just don't have words. I figured when someone pointed me to this to watch and said "this is seriously terrible" that it couldn't be this bad. Wow. It is.

That Weezer song sucks but the album is probably their best effort since Pinkerton, awful album cover aside.

Afroman punched out some chick onstage. Why, man? Because he got high. Because he got high. Because he got hiigh.

No joke. Three different friends' bands have opened up for Afroman at various points. Not sure I see the appeal of going to an Afroman concert (especially in 2015) but then again, I'm not much of a smoker.
