That video makes me somewhat happier after hearing about the Boston PD instigating the riot last night. Some were even caught on video causing destruction of property.

Honest question: how do you feel about the protests violating social distancing and potentially causing another uptick in COVID related cases? I was morally at odds with going at first since I'm a strong advocate for quarantine and hoping this all passes but also feel strongly that voices need to be heard right now.

Every nurse I talk to (a handful across several different states) have all said the same thing - this will absolutely spike the number of cases and but they are more worried about the second wave hitting in the fall.

11 PM curfew is now implemented in NYC and they doubled the amount of police patrolling the city. This is all going to get really ugly really quickly.

I was watching this live. There were three people in Van Nuys protecting their liquor store. A bunch of people who might have been up to no good confronted them. The liquor store employees tried to flag down police. Finally the police show up and zip tie the workers and owner. The reporter kept trying to explain what happened.

I'm still absolutely disgusted (and everyone should be) at the shitshow Trump did yesterday. It was a pathetic display once again of a clear test of fascism. Right before Trump speaks, Barr comes out to stinkeye the protesters. And then (and thank god CNN was here to document this) rubber bullets and gas engulfs the area without ANY provocation (the area was full of absolutely peaceful protesters) at the same time Trump is giving this fucking gross dictator-in-training speech that is full of pretentiousness. And then to find out the peaceful protesters were gassed and shot at just because this fucking traitor of America actually had the gall to do a goddamn photo op by that church even holding a bible! It was the most crass turn of events Trump may have publicly done so far. Make no mistake, its a test at something bigger, ie martial law. And much more darker shifts ahead. I'm certainly still convinced Trump is still doing the damage for Russia, and now we are at the big play of the total shift to a direction that's been wanted for years by the Trump/Putin camp (probably include Saudi Arabia too since Pompeo is getting away with straight up illegal shit with them right now). This is the ultimate disbanding of democracy and free speech and we are seeing it unfold right before our eyes.

What irks me more than anything at this point is Trump focusing on Antifa as the culprits of everything violent even though the truth appears to be something very different. Not ONCE has he said the words WHITE SUPREMACISTS in these speeches still. Meanwhile, reports keep coming out of fake Twitter accounts claiming to be Antifa that are from alt-right sources masquerading as them. How about the Boogaloo Boys? How about these enraged white power fucks who want to ignite a harsher war between both sides by being agent provocateurs?

And don't even get me started how media/press is getting no mercy from these cops/guard/patrol officers right now. It's straight up an attack on the free press more than I've ever seen. They not only are attacking them still despite the credentials, but then arresting them for being out past curfew even though THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO SO WITH THE PROPER CREDENTIALS. If anyone watches Vice News on Viceland, the episode last night was very telling in that direction.

8PM curfew for the second night in a row in Raleigh. Nothing really happened last night. About 100 people hung around downtown after curfew and then dispersed peacefully. No rioting or looting.
