I figured something was up by the way he was acting at the dome show.

I'm a fan of his so I'm sad to see him go but at the same time it's best for him because he is a shell of himself and I hate seeing people rip on him for being slow and immobile who never saw him in his prime. He was never on the level of the best of his generation peers but he had a lot of charisma and was a fun big man.

I think it might have to do with the coverage the companies will get. The more coverage on TV over in Japan, the less space for NXT Japan there would be. I don't know what streaming in Japan is like, if it's big or not, but they're going to go with already established companies first. At least that's my thinking on it, and I could be totally off.

I really don't see any channel especially network giving any company in Japan, WWE, NJPW or whoever another TV show especially a spinoff. Most of the companies are struggling. NOAH just got sold AGAIN.

It's now owned by the same company that owns DDT. AJPW is also in serious financial trouble (it always is though). Dragon Gate I don't think is healthy. Big Japan, Wrestle1, etc all have to be skating close to the edge.

It'd be interesting to see what they will draw with people knowing that Elite guys are not going to be there. Presumably, Tony Khan will be like "Fuck off!" if they ask for any of the AEW guys to be on the card.

Officially confirmed NJPW WrestleDynasty at Madison Square Garden on 8/22.

With the Olympics being in Tokyo this summer and G1 Classic being pushed to Fall, I'm guessing this will be their huge summer show? I'm pumped. Hopefully, they can get a huge turnout.

Also WrestleDynasty is the same night as NXT Takeover: Boston so that raises a lot more questions about attendance. Under those circumstances, I wonder if it'd almost be better if they did the adjacent Hulu Theater at MSG that has 5k-6k seat capacity and packing it out instead of risking another G1 in Dallas situation.

I've seen a lot of confusion about this. They aren't going to be on Network TV. They with be on BS Asahi which is a satellite station. TV Asahi is the network station.

That's still great news, it just isn't as huge as getting on network much less Prime Time Network.
