I'm not going to lie...there was something eerie about Benoit doing his Nitro clip with the flames behind him.

I loved the guys who knew it was a joke...Raven's, Jericho's, and Kidman's were awesome.

I can't get Frostwire to connect. I'm on Vista 64 bit. It just says 'Connecting' but never actually manages to get there.

Any ideas?

You know, since Nintendo pretty much owns Sega, I'd love to see a Nintendo VS. Sega fighting game. I know we sorta kinda in a way have that with SSBB, but I'm talking a true blue version. Maybe the next Smash Brothers game can be called Super Smash Brothers: Nintendo VS. Sega. Instead of just Sonic, Tails and others from Sonic's world, they could also include some old school Sega characters like Shinobi, Gilleas Thunderhead, Alex Kidd, Chakan, characters from Eternal Champions, etc....maybe Toe Jam and Earl are like a tandem type team that one player can control, like Earl (with Toe Jam riding on his back) is the main one you control while Toe Jam performs certain attacks or whatever. What would you guys have for a roster? I'll do one in a little bit when I get a few minutes here at work.

Axel from Streets of Rage
Ryo from Shenmue
Ulala from Space Channel 5
Virtua Fighter characters
Agent G from House of the Dead (or Washington from Overkill)

I'd have the guy from Sega Bass Fishing as an assist trophey. He comes out in his boat and fishes out some bass, which vary in size and then comments on them. So, if he pulls out a big one, he shouts "this ones huge!". Or if it's a tiny one, "Ohhh, small one."

Although I've played Virtua Fighter 1 and 2, I'm not too familiar with who the reall popular characters are from the series (I always used Wolf), so I'm not sure who to add from there but you'd have to add at least 2 or 3, I would say.

Hmmm after looking around on the net I see there are quite a few other people that could go for this kinda game. I think Nintendo could strike gold with it, especially since it'd be another Smash Bros. game.

About TJ&E I was thinking they could teleport in and out and be Sega's Zelda/Sheik type.

Fighting Vipers/Megamix. Phantasy Star, Valkyria Chronicles, and Shining Force franchises have plenty to choose from. Puyo franchise has a lot of mascot characters. Rent-A-Hero franchise for obscurity. Eriko from Illbleed... if they can get Illbleed, since I don't think it was Sega's alone. Vectorman. Sketch from Comix Zone. Super Monkey Ball... I'm thinking an Ice Climbers system here. NiGHTS. Billy Hatcher. Amigo from Samba de Amigo could use his maracas as weapons.

This time of year is ridiculous for games. I just bought MW2 which can lovingly join Dragon Age, Borderlands, Brutal Legend, Halo ODST and Marvel UA2 in the pile of games I bought very recently that I haven't made it 1/3 of the way through yet...because something new came out moments later. I've still got games log jammed from like 3 years ago. Yes I see you sitting their Gears of War...what the fuck do you want me to do about it? Just sit their next to the barely opened GOW2 and shut the fuck up.

I still haven't finished the campaigns for COD 3, COD 4 or World at War yet. Inching along slowly.

Did anyone here ever own an XBAND? That was a pretty random thing that popped in my head earlier today.

I totally had an XBAND for my SNES. Nobody else did. It was fucking impossible to find someone else online to play with.

Well if it makes you feel any better, from what I've read you can zip through the MW2 single player campaign in 5 or 6 hours.

That's why I'm going to hold off on buying all these games becuase I have such a backlog. I still haven't even finished Broken Steel in Fallout 3 yet and there's two more DLC packs to get. It doesn't help that I have Gamefly and got sucked into Red Faction Guerilla.

In other news, I bought a 120 gig HDD for my 360. It's nice to install games and play them in peace and quiet. Also, and bps will attest to this, Williams Pinball Collection is a must have for anyone that has any interest in pinball.

Man the line of people getting MW2 at Gamestop was ridiculous. It took me a few minutes to even be able to create a hole to slide through to get to the other side of the store. It didn't help there was some guy arguing over his pre-order right in the middle of things.
I'm not all that interested in the game, but that bundle with the night vision goggles looks neat.

Also, I noticed this awhile ago and just kept forgetting to comment on it, but has anyone else noticed how Gamestop has stopped labeling used games 'used' and now labels them 'pre-owned'? I find it quite hilarious. "Well I wasn't going to buy that copy of Madden 08 that was USED, but then I saw another and it was only pre-owned which is TONS better so I bought that!"

Is it common for non blockbuster games to be next to impossible to find on release day? I went to about 7 places today and none of them had NCAA Basketball 2010 for XBox 360? Most said it would be a few days. Today is the m'fn release date!

A lot of non-blockbusters have (or did a few years ago, anyway) "ship dates" instead of "release dates". Now most games arrive, site in the back of the store, then go out at 9am or what have you on the drop date. That's my understanding, anyway.

Not sure what the fuck is up with this game... I was finally able to track it down at Gamestop after trips to Best Buy, Target, and Walmart were unsuccessful. They only had two copies in stock when I got there.

Ehh... at least I got it. Both CBS and ESPN game packages should be fun.

At least they've spread out a little bit from just releasing good games in November.

About a month ago, an arcade - yes, an arcade! - opened up in the area. That's something you don't see... ever, anymore, so I thought it was an interesting move. The FUNLAND ARCADE was open for business with air hockey, pool tables, and top arcade machines like NBA Jam and Mortal Kombat 4.

Predictably, the place is already closed.
