Playing Left 4 Dead a couple hours after MW2 always messes me up. My controls go to hell for 20 minutes or so.

Taking advantage of work wifi and downloading all of my Steam stuff now before I have to go home and use my own bandwidth. ;)

I'm stuck on episode 3. I don't mean stuck as in I can't figure out what to do, just stuck in that I'm fucking bored with it. Telltale gets priase for making old school adventure games, but what's lost in all that is that they make BAD old school adventure games. Seriously they're always the same 5 fucking characters and the same 5 areas repeated over and over again in each episode.

I dropped GameFly and started a trial with Blockbuster. So far they seem to be more on the ball since I put a bunch of games in my queue last night and they shipped one this morning. The delay for some games is kind of weird; Mortal Kombat is just now becoming available to rent. Still, it's $5 cheaper so I'll deal with it.

All I see in that article is it saying it'll be AT LEAST spring next year before it comes out, not out in spring

So when I Cut and Paste to AIM it's taking the background of whatever website I'm cutting from with it. Normally not much of an issue, but occasionally (specifically Cracked.com) it's grabbing a random other background and what I paste is nearly unreadable due to color clash.

I have no idea why this is happening, and it just started within the last few days.

Anyone have any ideas?

The dog bone controllers that came with the top loader used to go for about $20. I've never heard of someone trying to sell one for 1K.

I looked at the sellers other items. Anything electronics related, including a westell dsl modem is 1K, but some Cabin Jambalaya mix and a pair of 30 X 30 Dockers are $17.95!

Diablo 3 will require you to be online to play it, even in single play. Rabble rabble rabble.

I saw that, too. Kinda lame, IMO. Surely they can think of better ways to prevent piracy..

They claim it's not about piracy, but to keep people from cheating...in the single player game. Because god forbid someone do that and play the game the way they want to play it. Also, there's going to be a market place for selling gear, both with in game currency and real world currency, and obviously cheating would fuck that all to hell. Solution: Only allow characters from the online 100% of the time mode to sell shit so they can be monitored, and create an off-line 'don't give one fucking fuck about selling gear' mode for those of us that don't give one fucking fuck about selling gear and don't want to have to be tethered to a god damned internet connection.

Yeah this really pisses me off, as I'm trying not to buy 'have to be online at all times' games as a matter of principle, yet I've been waiting for Diablo 3 for a decade. FUCK YOU BLIZZARD.

Yeah I saw their "not about piracy" excuse too. I was reading some lame excuse from them saying that they made the game w/o thinking about offline users and that the full experience is online, yadda yadda. Still lame as hell. People still like to play a lot of their games offline, myself included.

I ended up going to "I am 8 bit" art show last night. Lots of cool video game art. Some of it even affordable!

I ended up ordering a print of this

Anyone remember how to hook up an N64? Last time mine was hooked up I had an old school no inputs TV and had to use a "modulator" (?) to make it work.

Now that I'm in my own place with free reign to plug shit into the TV, I want to hook up the 64. I am guessing it'll be component. This is good b/c the other systems are all HDMI hooked up.
