Haven't played a baseball game since MVP Baseball 2005, but I was in the mood for a baseball game this year. Picked MLB 12: The Show. The presentation is phenomenal and it seems like a very deep game. However, I really suck at it so far. Been pumping a lot of time into practice and messing around with the different control schemes and types. I seem to be progressing and I am "re-learning" how to play a baseball game.

In a huge upset, NHL 94 won that tournament. I think it did anyway, I had a hard time following when rounds were happening at times. It looked like it beat Griffey in the finals.

Yeah, for whatever reason, MVP 2005 was so good that developers decided to fuck up every baseball game's controls following it.

So Yakuza Dead Souls is pretty awesome. It's essentially a full blown Yakuza game centered around a zombie outbreak. All of the stores, mini-games and hostess clubs are still there. The only thing that doesn't happen is random thugs picking fights with you (well so far at least).

One cool twist, though, is once you woo a hostess enough to "fall in love" with you, you actually unlock her as an AI partner to bring along to help gun down the undead. It's pretty funny seeing them all dressed up but carrying a sniper rifle to pick off walkers in the crowd.

Correction: NHL 94 advanced to the finals over Kenny G, Mario Kart vs. FIFA 12 is the other semi-final going on now.

Seriously, FIFA 12? Is it that good? I don't really care for soccer so maybe that's my problem, but I felt like we accomplished all a soccer game could (or should to still be fun) some 14 years ago.

I don't personally know anyone who plays most of the games that come out, but I could name twenty people who sit around and do nothing but play FIFA. They're all idiots, sure, but you see my point.

I thought Fifa was REALLY good. Like I don't like Soccer but the game is awesome and addictive good.

I played MLB 2k12 a little today and it was pretty much the same terrible game they've put out for a few years now. I was thinking about how the good news is that someone else will likely pick up the license next year. When I got to thinking about that, though, I realized there's a good chance there isn't a baseball game out on 360 at all next year. Just the whole process of basically starting from scratch is going to take time.

FIFA 12 is crazy fun, and the only sports game I've enjoyed playing on multiplayer. Anyone who whines about not being able to tackle on it just sucks at defense.

I hated Lucky Hit so much. I would work the stands and lose money for proprietors, then I would carry crates at the docks, then bet on Lucky Hit stands. It was a destructive style.
