I ended up completing the transaction on that Bethesda bundle at like 4:30AM, after they'd effectively said "Oh shit" and fixed the price. I'd already submitted the order at $28, and just needed to pay for it. So I got it. Woohoo.

I got an e-mail from Goozex saying they're waiving what's essentially the trading transaction fee over Christmas. I hadn't logged in for a while, and my Wanted, and Offering lists were wiped out. Apparently I'm lucky I didn't lose my trade points and tokens as well. :|

It's supposed to be a used trading site, but the trading prices are kind of ridiculous. I'm supposed to pay $50 of tokens for the PS3 Journey collection, when it goes for $30 new. $50 for Arkham City GotY; it's about $30-40 new, and will be under $20 for Boxing Day. $32.50 in points for the first $5 episode of The Walking Dead on 360—which is going to be free this week. Doesn't seem to be any WiiU support. Just looks like the site's been halfway abandoned. And I've got what should be about $170 in points on my account. :\

I'm just a little annoyed. I traded a few games, paid some money for tokens, and all I've gotten back is Fable for PC and Eternal Sunshine on HD DVD. I've got a bunch of points to use, but the only things I've seen worth the point prices are new releases. With the whole Early Access system, and probably not a lot of people having confidence in the site to toss out their $60 games for an invented an unreliable currency, those aren't going to be available to me—they weren't at the best of times.

GamersGate refunded my money for the Bethesda bundle earlier today. I hadn't redeemed any of the keys that might've been available. Kind of annoyed by that. More so because the day after, they admitted it was an error, but said missing keys wouldn't be available until mid-January—implying they would honour it, but it was effectively back-ordered.

They had some other price errors offering Borderlands 2 at 75% off (and apparently a 4-pack for like $5 ), and something with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.

Ultimately I didn't lose anything here, aside from wasted time. It does illustrate a certain lack of power on the consumer end regarding digital goods. The suppliers can by and large say "Hey, we don't want you to have access to this anymore", and there's not a lot of recourse unless you want to get into a huge legal battle. But on the flipside, there's generally a big "No Refunds; No Re-sale" clause if customers change their minds.

I got Sleeping Dogs from a Redbox for $2 a day and finished it in less than a week. It's not too long of a game, has a decent story, and is a shorter and less-polished GTA with better hand-to-hand combat.

Much as I don't really want to give EA any money these days (or use Origin), I've always had an interest in the Mass Effect series. So I looked into what the Mass Effect Trilogy includes as far as DLC. Turns out... not a whole lot.

It doesn't exactly purport to be a "complete" package. And you can kind of understand ME3 stuff not being included. But ME2? Come on now.

If you bought any digital games from Amazon recently, you should have gotten a $5 credit for 2012 Editor's Choice games. You can use that now to get Hotline Miami for $2.49.

So after months of trying to find out what was the cause of the redirect virus on google, it seems I discovered where the issue was. My lady decided to add TWO fucking extensions from tumblr months ago and today, after removing them, the virus has so far went away.

Needless to say, I am displeased. When asked why she did it, the answer was because some of her tumblr friends recommended it. I now recommend one of them gets a swift kick in the fucking ass.

The PS3 version of ME1 doesn't include Pinnacle Station, and Pinnacle Station will never come out on that platform. On the plus side, it is basically pointless DLC that has no bearing on the trilogy as a whole.

Trivia nights with channel awesome were tons of fun and I even amazingly got seated both times at tAbles where I knew who the internet celebrity saw.

I'm having a pretty damn good time myself. The fire alarm did fucking suck, especially since I had gotten to sleep around 4AM on Friday morning, much like I am right now, to be honest. So, I only got like, 3 hours of sleep before the alarm, and couldn't get back to sleep afterwards. I did go to ATFW, where Linkara did... well, you'll see when he posts the video.

So, which celebrity did you get for Channel Awesome tonight, Smues? I was in one of the bigger non-celebrity teams, which was amusingly named Team Blackjack and Hookers before JewWario bowlderized it into Team Infinity. Also, if they had listened to me on the last question, we would have gotten close to winning.

I was at JesuOtaku's table. We had the lead for a chunk of the night and finished fourth overall. Technically if they had listened to me completely we would have finished second because in the song round I thought it was donkey Kong country 2, Mega man 1, and WoW, and we guess dkc 1, mega man 2 and league of legends. But I wasn't positive on those anyway and they listened to me when I was confident in the answers. Sonic Adventure ice level music FTW.

Friday I was at a table with YRulerOfTime and Kyle...I forget his name. The art movie guy. I contributed jack shit in the first two rounds but saved our asses in later rounds. It felt good to contribute. We got hosed though as they lost a round or something for us because they had our final score way lower than it was. Don't know if we would have won or anything though, and non of us would have done well in the dance off.

Got John st Jon to sign a copy of Duke Nukem on Thursday. Just got BrentalFloss to sign my copy of Ducktales NES. If I can get through avgns sure to be massive autograph line and get him to sign top gun NES I'll be all set on Magfest autographs.

I downloaded the MOTU iGame not too long ago based on positive reviews. A lot of hacking and slashing but fun for what it is.

Out of nowhere I get an iMessage from He-Man today saying Eternia still needs my help. That was bizarre.

2K Sports just announced that MLB 2K13 will be coming out for 360 and PS3 in March. I'm really not even sure why at this point. They seemed to have abandoned the game completely as of a few months ago, so any hopes of it being more than just a roster update are all but crushed right now. I'd assume EA is planning on getting back in the game in the next console generation.

I'm pretty sure they legally have to as a result of their deal with MLB, but yeah, as soon as that deal is done they're getting as far away from baseball as they can.
