GreenManGaming has a few deals:

Arkham City GotY - $7.49 (Steam)
Risen 2: Dark Waters - $9.89 (Steam)

And there's several others kicking around. Just from the Top sellers section on the front page:
Tomb Raider: Anniversary - $1.99 (GMG Capsule)
Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection - $2.99

Maybe check out the Bargain Bucket and Hot Deals pages.

On top of those...

Why not try saving even more with our 35% off voucher* below:
WINTR-SRVEY-42012
*This voucher is single use only. Valid until 14th December 2012 12:00UTC. Voucher works on digital games, excludes certain games.

Arkham City comes to $4.87 with the code. Or if you wanted to pre-order Tomb Raider or something, it'd come down to $29.25 with 35% off.

There's also a 25% off code "GMG25-CZPYL-D5MQ6", though they don't stack; codes seem to be per item, not per order.

Those people probably won't want to buy the next Xbox, then.. Like it or not, constant connections and cloud servers is the way we are moving with pretty much everything (not just game consoles).

I'm actually fine with it. I've lost way too much game progress (and old saves) due to system failures or hard drive crashes. The PSN Cloud has been a godsend to me.

PS: Cracked is the worst. Worse than Kotaku, possibly.

My first MMO was Asheron's Call 2. I have so many fond memories of the game. Like the time I was Trying to solo a Tyrant and was succeeding. Then a dev came along and made it player vs dev, and then I couldn't win and so I ran. But he chased after me and is wear I crossed half the continent before he finally killed me.

I was just reminiscing about this when I heard that Turbine is reviving the game. Can't wait to get home, download, enjoy the nostalgia, then realize its like 10 years old...

I downloaded Company of Heroes through Steam early last week. Went to play it earlier... wouldn't launch. Verified integrity of the files, and a bunch of them were bad. Re-downloaded 2.6GB. PC GAMES

Launched it now, and right after the THQ etc. videos, it asks to create a new Relic account, login to an account, or exit to Windows. No option to play without an account. Nuts to that. Deleted.

So I'm looking for this Virus/Trojan remover type thing and I can't remember for the life of me what it's called. Wondering if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

You would run a scan, and it would create essentially a logfile of your registry. Then you would copy/paste the logfile onto a page on this either Russian or Deustch website or something. And it would tell you whether the filename was common, possibly harmful, dangerous, etc. Anyone know the name?

Edit- Google is your friend lol. Found it. HijackThis.de was what I was looking for.

I've been trying to kill that Google Redirect virus for months with no success. That virus is such a pain in the ass.

I'm a bit confused with all this new iTunes and iCloud shit. Downloaded the latest version and all these random songs (including a bunch of duplicates) show up in my library.

I just buy Norton Internet Security every year and I haven't had a serious problem on any of our computers in years. Before that we had problems all the time with the different programs I'd used. You can use it on 3 or 4 computers I think so that covers the whole house for us.

Does that program have street cred now that the inventor is a murderer or something? What's the whole story with that guy? I've heard some crazy shit about him but not all the details.

He hasn't been a part of that company since the late 90s.

I also use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for that type of thing.

Ok so I'm not the only one that uses this. I was a little wary of it when I first downloaded it.

I played a bit of the demo for Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams the other day, and kind of liked that.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/223220
http://www.gog.com/gamecard/giana_sisters_twisted_dreams

It's a platformer, and looks amazing, with great colours. I did find early on that I had some odd deaths, running into/not noticing things; it wasn't plainly obvious that "Oh, these thorny bushes aren't part of the environment, and will kill me". But I don't think that lasted too long.

Fairly standard controls: A to jump; X to do a fiery, dash attack in different directions; Y to do kind of a floaty spin jump. And you press the right trigger to switch between the sisters. It also switches the world, the music—it's pretty cool. Again, it may just be a case where I missed something the game was teaching, but I found the game would switch sisters at strange times, and I didn't know exactly why.

Anyhoo. It's regularly $15, but currently $9 on GOG.

I'll post this in here too:

Episode 1 of The Walking Dead is free on the iOS App Store "For a Limited Time Only".

https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/walking-dead-the-game/id524731580

Technical grief aside, this is easily my favourite game this year, and it looks like there will be a handful of ways to try it free, and/or get it on sale in the coming weeks. (Ep1 is rumoured to be free on XBLA from Christmas to New Year's, with other episodes half-price Dec 28.)

I'm going to try and score some autographs at Magfest at the autograph sessions. Brental Floss I already got an autograph at a concert, but I'm thinking of getting a copy of Ducktales for the NES for him to sign. I assume the crowd for AVGN would be too big to deal with, but if I could get to him what would be a good item/game to get to have him sign. I'm thinking maybe one of the bible games.

Actually a better question would be what would be the coolest thing to get signed by the AVGN for a big fan of his? I'm not a huge fan, but I have a friend who loves him.

I played a few levels. If you're into the fanwank of Mega Man and Street Fighter together, it's great. The music is fine... SF remixes in 8bit MM style, of course. However, if you're looking for Mega Man difficulty and gameplay, the levels I played are quite short and easy. I'm awful at classic MM, and I had relatively little problem getting through to the end here. Controls are adequate. Only a 40 MB download.

To be honest my computer is kind of crap. 512 MB of RAM, onboard graphics. Garbage. And the damn thing requires 1 GB of RAM, so the music kept cutting out. 1 GB for a Mega Man game! That's kind of ridiculous, although others with modern machines obviously won't have a problem with that.

Friend of mine made him an AVGN doll. It appeared in a few of his videos right after she did it. I know the question was what to get him to sign, but I think it'd be cool if you got him something as well.
