I didn't read the whole article - does this mean Disney gets the revenue (if any) to 2013's Episode II/III 3D releases / gets to hype them as being released in their patented "Disney 3 Disney Logo inside a D" technology?

The seventh movie, with a working title of “Episode 7,” is set for release in 2015. Episodes 8 and 9 will follow. The trilogy will continue the story of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia beyond “Return of the Jedi,” the third film released and the sixth in the saga. After that, Disney plans a new “Star Wars” movie every two or three years. Lucas will serve as creative consultant in the new movies.

The thing is I have zero expectations that George WON'T be at the helm. Sure, he may not be directing, but similar to Vince Jr he needs to have his hand in the cookie jar.

Disney has stayed relatively hands off of Marvel, so they might not. But hey, there's still time to have Ewoks and Inhumans appear in Once Upon a Time, right?

Yeah I'm pretty sure I was fine with no more Star Wars movies. Some things are better left alone. It's one thing to kick an idea around but actually doing it is different.

The best thing about the prequels was the last 45 minutes or so of Sith. Pretty much from the death of Mace onward I love. The rest I could do without.

EDIT: I just realized you were talking about MORE new movies.. as in coming in the future. This sounds terrible. I'd rather have that live action TV series they were always talking about.

On possibly having to re-cast Luke Leia and Han: Why? You will never ever be able to cast someone to play Luke Skywalker without people shitting all over it, so why bother? Considering their ages now, why not just start Episode 7 20-30 years after Jedi, and have Mark Hamil play Luke as basically Obi-Wan, finishing off the training of Han and Leia's children - put the kids at around 20 years of age, use some digital makeup if you have to on the originals, and away you go. I know Luke is supposed to be heavily involved in the EU stuff, but they can always change that around. Then you make Han and Leia's kids the main focus of the films.
