Stock Market Game 2021

Big milestone for me today. Hit 100K in my personal etrade account. Gains of around 32 percent.
I've been investing for about 4 years.
401K sits at 83 grand.
Paid off my 110K house 4 years ago. Current value is roughly double that.
I just turned 43 2 weeks ago. I'm satisfied.

Thoughts on this S and P momentum ETF vs the standard S and P and/or QQQ ?

Up 36 percent in one year. .13 percent expense ratio
Looks like it's more weighted towards the tech stocks and is less "balanced" and a bit more aggressive in the shares of the stocks it owns especially at the top end. It is up 147% over 5 Years though. But Tech & Financial Services make up almost 45% of the holdings (Nvidia is almost 11%; Meta 8.65%; Amazon 8.44%; Broadcom 6%; JPMorgan 5.21%; Tesla 4.55%; Walmart 4.26%; and Netflix 3.31%).

"The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its total assets in the securities that comprise the underlying index. The underlying index is designed to measure the performance of approximately 100 stocks in the S&P 500® Index that have the highest "momentum score." In general, momentum is the tendency of an investment to exhibit persistence in its relative performance; a "momentum style" of investing emphasizes investing in securities that have had better recent performance compared to other securities. It is non-diversified."

It all boils down to your own aggressiveness/passiveness. This feels like a Brody investment lol but I'm kind of curious how much turnover there is year to year of the sectors/stocks within the ETF.

I still check on it and mess around but I stopped looking at the game when my US Steel stock was just... deactivated(?) and I wasn't even allowed to sell it after they did their merger or whatever.

my cousin is in the medical field, so he's not a dummy but this conversation on our road trip today kind of blew my mind.

I was laying out my etrade account holdings and such. My cousin asks "How do you cash out?"
Brody "It it transfers into my bank"
Him "You gave them your bank account number!?!?! You're going to get hacked and lose everything"

Brody *sigh*

I should have asked him if he uses online banking or he's really that bad of a 41 year old-head

I ended up switching over to the S&P 500 Index ETF (VOO IIRC) and moved some money into Ally Bank over the summer (I was up almost $500 there rather than it just sitting in my local bank giving me like $5 if that by year's end).
