Funny how things work... in the 1993 game, Shawn is listed as a midcarder but one show in and he was over enough to be a main eventer, and he IS feuding with Bret Hart (another main eventer) so the move made sense. Well, he's the IC champ and the bookers tell me a main eventer shouldn't be holding the title but Shawn ended up refusing all my booking ideas (damn creative control) so I just stripped him of the belt and held a Battle Royal for it on Raw. Just kind of sorta like real life.

Yes, it is. I programmed the code myself. One of the few things I still mark out for to this day. I'm in a game!

Wish my game was that realistic. The 1994 Pro Wrestling Hits Top 100 lists Jushin Thunder Liger is #5. This is notable because he was edged out for #4 by Jerry Saggs.

Saggs teamed with Rick Rude to take on Davey Boy Smith & Sting in the main event of WCW's final show of the year, and somehow that garnered an A rating to end 1994 and put him over the top.

Same with Awards, but half of those don't come up unless you played the full year (i.e. in the '93 scenario you start in August 1993, so you don't get Promotion of the Year, Most Improved Promotion, etc. handed out until January 1995).

Would it be too hard to the shows like the old EWR diaries? I'm not familiar with this game, but I remember enjoying a lot of them (Especially WrestlingDeacon's old XPW log).

Not really. I haven't spoke to Adam in quite some time and even so, he didn't need any commentary since EWR so I don't know if there would be a spot for me anyway. Besides, humor and MMA don't seem to mix very well.

You can modify the titles and bump them up and down from Main Event, Midcard and Lower Level, if you so wish. I'm not sure if there's actually any penalties to having titles on people who, technically, shouldn't be holding them though.

I think I read a while ago that a title might hurt their overall popularity. I've also read that the belt can naturally be seen as a main event one if an over enough worker holds it for a while and makes regular defenses, but I always thought that was BS as it never worked when I got the Hardys over as Main Event level acts and didn't take the the tag belts off of them.

I started a TNA 2002 game on TEW08, taking control of TNA from the very beginning, strangely you can get a lot of the opening workers to join you, though some are too commited to ROH to come (damn you Christopher Daniels). Even then, Jeff Jarrett puts a block on you signing anyone below C for Pyschology and Resilence, which puts a stop to most potential X-Division guys and old timers.

You can create one in the database and then import it.

Anyone in need of an EWR fix, somebody at Grey Dog has come up with an angle pack with some old EWR style angles. Just create a new database, put the angle file in there and you can import ones you want from that database into your current game.

Last week I started an Eastern Championship Wrestling 1993 game...

For some reason, Hardcore TV isn't on there, so I was just doing big events. Took the belt off of Magnificent Muraco and onto Sandman the first event in, and just vacated the TV belt off Snuka.

Because of their low standings in the companies, Owen Hart was released by WWF and Chris Benoit by WCW (who had an open contract). Picked them up, hotshotted Benoit to the vacant TV belt, Owen was just building momentum. I've tried to keep most of the Eastern originals, but dead weight or expensive workers gotta go. Shane Douglas feuded with Sandman and is now champ. Added the NWA World Championship with Terry Funk being the first in our company. Had a bloody feud with Abby. Will now feud with Owen with Funk winning to lead into Champion vs. Champion with the end result being Extreme Championship Wrestling.
