Well, let's see.

I kinda built towards Wrestlemania similarly to real-life. At least the main stories. Best Of 7 with Booker/Benoit, Edge cashing in on Cena, Rey winning the Rumble, etc. So the WM card looks pretty similar. The main problem being, a) apparantly John Cena and Edge "don't work together well" in this scenario, leaving me to suffer through with some B level matches. And b) the scenario had Finlay as a retired road agent, with lousy stats, so I've had to create and add him as a wrestler as well. Also, c) the US business is tanking, 'E' and falling.

Wrestlemania 22
World Tag Titles: Big Show and Kane (c) d. Carlito and Masters (A, Carlito is over and having great matches, another inconsistency with real-life)

Women's Title: Mickie James d. Trish Stratus (c) (B+, having to do it again at Backlash because the women's stats are pretty damn poor, I had to turf Stacy, Christy, Ashley and Candice for being literally worthless)

Money In The Bank: RVD d. Matt Hardy, Regal, Flair, Booker and Jeff Hardy (B, RVD's MITB, but I'm not doing any of the ECW redux stuff)

US Title: JBL d. Chris Benoit (c) (B+)

Hardcore Rules: Edge d. Mick Foley (B+)

IC Title: Chavo Guerrero d. Gregory Helms (c) (A)

World Title: Rey Mysterio d. Randy Orton and Batista (c) (A, same basic deal but with Batista instead of Angle)

Casket Match: Undertaker d. Mark Henry (A*, presumably because it was a brawl-based match. And Taker is super-over.)

RAW versus Smackdown: Kurt Angle d. Bobby Lashley (A*, time to start pushing Bobby)

Grudge Match: Shawn Michaels d. Shelton Benjamin (A, has Benjamin turn on Shawn and allign with Vince, also got an A* out of them at NYR, so going backwards there)

WWE Title: John Cena (c) d. HHH (A*)

So, basically the same. Now all the storylines I started at the beginning have finished, I can start changing up a little more. Especially with no ECW. Smackdown's been pretty lousy with my midcard superstars like New LOD, Holly, Orlando, Basham, Sylvan, Stevie, Burchill, Simon Dean, Tatanka. Improving now. RAW's now going down, with Umaga struggling to get over (I must have mucked up Armando's stats somewhere) and the Spirit Squad still being geeks.

Backlash I've got Cena/HHH/Angle/Edge, Shawn vs. Shelton/Vince, Show/Kane vs. Snitsky/Tomko, Flair/Umaga, RVD/Carlito, Chavo/Dupree, Mickie/Trish and a Spirit Squad 10 man tag.

Judgment Day is Rey/Batista, Benoit/Orton, Booker/Lashley, MNM/Londrick, a CW Title 6-Way with Noble as the champion... and a bunch of guys I need to figure out what to do with. Did I mention the SD midcard sucks? Slowly getting Kennedy over, signed Hernandez to be Simon Dean's 'bodyguard/muscle guy', created Finlay.

Got, amongst others, Lance Hoyt, Prince Nana, Eric Young and Bobby Roode in developmental. Plus Punk and Dreamer. Dave Prazak as SD announcer instead of Cole. ROH got a TV show. So did IWA:MS. TNA lost Xplosion. Their World Champion is Kip James (yes, really), and their tag champions were until recently the dream team of Brock Lesnar and Rikishi (yes, really). The computer-generated tag team names are stupid and kinda annoying when you're reading results and not knowing who's involved, but it redeemed itself by naming the Lesnar/Rikishi dynamic duo "The Unexpected". No shit!

The new, December version of that real world scenario is out, so I plan on getting into that soon.

I'm over five months into this 2006 game and the only injury I'd ever had was a broken nose to Chavo Guerrero that kept him out for 7 days. So, I've booked the 2006 KOTR and set it up for Lashley to be in the Final... and he suffers a Broken Leg in his semi-final match, which of course I only find out about after I'd Advance Booked the Final for the PPV in 5 days, putting him out for roughly 5 months. So now I've got a KOTR storyline I can't finish, a match booked for the PPV I can't deliver and one of my top babyfaces sidelined. Not great timing there.

Mark Henry just won the WWE title after beating Taker in 3:57 at Summerslam. ;D

And I've irritated nearly all of the RAW roster by making Hardcore Holly the top heel of the brand, as he wrestles "too stiff" for nearly everyone... except company man John Cena, and Jeff Hardy.

Not sure I'll buy TEW2010, but there's still some stuff in TEW2008 I'm waiting for him to patch/release (like the bloody C-Verse free agents!)

I'm still playing EWR 4.whatever. I looked at my history, and not counting auto booker, I've ran close to 1000 shows. That might not be a lot compared to some people, but I feel like a big geek.

Would anyone be interested in doing a 2 or 3 player split game with the new update? I had talked long ago of doing one with Adam, but he's too busy with work and life right now. I have a lot of ideas... I just have to familiarize myself with the game a little.

Yeah i'm sorry about that man. I recommend it to anybody who has half an hour a day or so (or whatever) because it is actually pretty fun playing other people.

Okay, here's a question I doubt anyone knows the answer to.

If I send a worker to Developmental, who pays them? Like, if I have someone on a written deal per month and I have him in a feeder promotion, do they end up paying? Because I just had one of my feeder promotions go out of business and I don't want to be sending my expensive, worthless workers to them if it's going to kill them off. And what about Pay Per Appearance deals?

I would. In fact Me and Adam (and I think you) had a game going but I couldn't send the data back to Adam due to being useless with computers and didn't know how to do it.

Mate, we didn't even get passed day one because I'm no inept.

What I'd need is a step by step guide and a list of programs I need to do the things that are on said guide.

I'm THAT useless.

I'm not home most weekends but I'd be willing to go in with you if you don't mind the occasional layoff, Matt.

It's not as off as he sounds, just needs to know what to zip and what to email. I'm sure he'll pick it up once he's done it a couple of times.

^This.

Don't forget to add "how to zip" to that list.

WinRAR is the best i've come across for using zips and has been for some time now.

Try zipping a number of items on your PC to practise, and don't worry, the original files you zip will not be deleted or modified.

I cant get this damn game to run on vista. The game will load to the opening screen fine but every time I try to load a game/make a new game I get 'run-time error 339' and it crashes. I've redownloaded and reinstalled 3 times now and it still won't work. Anyone know anything that could help?

I'd be down for trying this again.

Haven't used the program since the whole thing flopped but yeah..a quick run-thru of what Id have to DL and Zip/UnZip and to where, I'd be golden.

You need to run as admin.

Thanks for sharing that. Now's a good time to start up a game, I reckon.

TEW2010 is available to buy from later tonight, I believe. The demo is out and you can grab it from here: http://www.ewbattleground.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=77437

There's just a ridiculous list of new features and improvements from the 2008, which is overwhelmingly improved if you've only played 2005, like me (aside from about a day fiddling with the 08 demo). http://www.ewbattleground.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=76342 describes them all. Simple stuff like a drag and drop feature, geeky things like being able to see a title belt's entire lineage beyond the start of the game, plus a lot of new in-game edit features that will eliminate the need to exit the game, go into the editor, make something, go back into the game and import. There's a lot of updates that, in the right hands, will make for some incredible real-life scenarios to be made.

So I'm probably going to end up getting this. I've been playing around with the demo, trying to get to grips with it compared to 2005. Quite the sensory adjustment.

I fiddled around with the demo for a day last week and I enjoyed it, but there was a lot to take in and I had a lot of struggles. But I've never played anything about TEW05 and I've only been playing that for 6 months or so since it went free. I think I'd really love this game if I can play beyond a month and play some really well made scenarios but the learning curve from '05 to '10 is just hard enough for me to not have to rush and buy it tonight when I don't have a lot of money to burn.

But I do think its just a matter of time before I drop the cash. Just a matter of when my '05 games run their course.

Christ, I downloaded the TEW '10 demo and its too much. I'd love to buy it but even in TEW 05 the furthest I got in the game was 6 months of so. I like the game in small doses but the price tag is just a bit too high. $20 or so would be perfect.
