I've got Phil Brooks on my WCW game and I probably want to change it to something better.

Character Details from the Booking Overview (the grid thingy). I only figured it out myself this morning.

It's weird, when I start these games I drop into Vince-mode. There's a talented young babyface team on my roster and they seem to be pretty good, so of course they're becoming jobbers. I love the picbases for Elmo and Groucho the SWF babyface tag champs, so of course I'm building them up to lose to the Powers Of Pain esque monster heel team. And I've had the trio of Calimari Kid, Lobster Warrior and Jumbo Shrimp lose a lot despite them being awesome. Talent be damned!

EDIT: You can also edit the biographies, which is neat.

My problem is I'll book Jay Lethal and Petey in a series of matches as a storyline... and the crowd gives their first match a C. Report says they don't click in the ring. So if I cancel the storyline, they lose popularity... but they're not gaining any because the feud isn't working.

Just made a bit of an error. Apparently, Brock Lesnar was not ready to wrestle yet after signing him. He has to wait seven days before he can wrestle for me. I promised the fans Lesnar/Edge on Nitro, and they were very, very disappointed that it didn't occur.

That's the one complaint I have about TEW is how un-user friendly it is. It took me 10 minutes and the freakin' help guide to figure out how to book an arena after I clicked run show. It also took me a while to figure out how to change pushes, gimmicks, etc. for characters after I had signed a few free agents.

I love reading the 'other TV show results' pages, they get quite interesting and funny. Samoa Joe has just lost the WWE Championship to The Undertaker on Raw, and Gail Kim has just won the X Division Championship in a four way match with Trinity, Spike Dudley and Chris Daniels.

I so want to play this, but as I said, I'm waiting for the mod and would have no idea how to set ratings for real WWE wrestlers.

Yeah Matt, CM's real name is that. I was obviously joking before about not knowing who he was (as you know the depths of being a Punk mark I go to) but yeah, it's sorted. I really, really love this game.

A few queries I have though, I don't know where to see the 'standings' of the promotions. In EWR, you could easily see who was the best to who was the worst.


Also, i've been told deaths are quite common on the game, so I wait for my first death.

TNA have just lost iMPACT! because they had no network any more, but have now got a PPV deal.

Typical TNA.. They've just lost about three years worth of progress.

I am running a 'Sports Entertainment' promotion, for what it's worth.

Lots. Lots and lots. If you read the Style description for Sports Entertainment, it says as much. Short matches, lots of angles. Pad it out with lots of one minute angles, match graphics, people walking to the ring, announcers hyping later matches. For a 2hr30min TV show, I usually have upwards of 15 segments and matches on the main show.

I forget where they are. I think you have to go to game world, click on a country and it'll give you the list for that country. That's as close as there is, there's no real global standings. Unless I've missed them.

Just to reset, since I ignored this topic based on memories of not caring about how complex it was to develop a promotion based around Ace Sterling and "Nature Man" Pete Rodgers, the game being freeware means they have real people and promotions to tinker with now?

I may have to look into this.

I've accidently managed to Advance Book four matches for a PPV three months away because I got the shows mixed up. I'm now crossing my fingers that I avoid injuries.

Yeah, i'm sitting on CM Punk vs Shelton Benjamin for a PPV six months away or so, because it's in alphabetical order, I just assumed it would default to the upcoming PPV.

It seems like the 'traditional' style would suit me best, as I love to book great workrate matches. It won't let me change the style though, as only the owner can. Which is a shame.

Zed, how many deaths have you come across yet? I've not had anybody die, but i've only had like two months game time.

None yet. I'm trying to figure out which mod works best. Currently doing the WCW 1997 one. Bret Hart did not like his first match being with Raven. If I go back to a WWE one, I'm sure Jeff Hardy won't last a week.

ETA - Syxx arrived five minutes late for a show. I fired him.
