As the one fan ever of the New Blackjacks, they deserved better than to be mixed up in that.

New Blackjacks Vs Los Boricuas could have been 2nd best match of the night. Probably wasn’t but in theory. Only match I can say for sure probably didn’t expect was Too Much/Too Cool: The early years. Everything else is bad combination of too young, too old or too unmotivated.


Was Jesse James still the Real Double J in September ‘97? Even if he was Road Dogg, he certainly wasn’t very over yet. Him Vs Harris Twin could low key be worst match that doesn’t involve Brakus or a Gang War.

From glancing at the Cawthon site, it looks like they might've used that lineup for C & D level venues that weekend due to the One Night Only ppv in UK.

New Age Outlaws formed in Oct. '97 so this was the tail end of The Real Double J and Rockabilly.

I actually saw that segment again in a Wrestling With Regret review/recap? It was on a Smackdown when HHH pretended to be bit by a snake in his feud with Austin IIRC

-Instead of waiting for Big Show to be built up for a major PPV match and make some money with him, supposedly Austin was worried that the newly signed Giant would be Vince's new ace and got a pinfall win on TV over him less than 2 months into Show's WWF run.
- When he was breaking down in the middle of 2002, he was pretty much only interested in working with Undertaker and Flair IIRC.
- I'm pretty sure he also turned down working with Billy Gunn during one of the many Gunn as a top guy tries in 99ish and beyond.

* All of these might be fake newz from old SKeith Raw and PPV reviews of the era.

I don't know if I believe the Big Show thing. That sounds absurd and way more like Russo hotshotting a major money match because he's an idiot.

Austin really wanted the Eddie program right before he bailed. To this day I think Eddie is the biggest victim of his actions.

It's BIlly Gunn. Any decision to not work with him above his station was the right one.
