I watched Natasha Leggero do a stand up set in VR in Meta's Horizon Worlds. It was...weird. For her part she was moving her avatar around and gesturing like someone would in the real world, but something about it just felt off. And there was no audience wherever she recorded it so it was weird not hearing laughter unless someone in the vr room with me laughed, which didn't really happen, there was just awkward conversation. I think a vr video recording of a stand up set would have been much better. As much as I like VR, it still whiffs more than it hits.
