My brother is a huge fan of theirs. I tried getting into them years ago (Viva Emptiness) bit couldn't.
I was gonna say, it's their best in a while, and it's nice to remember that Kerry McCoy can write some impressive metal riffs in between the more post-rock/shoegaze elements.I probably only care, but the new Deafheaven is their best since New Bermuda like a decade ago. They muted the shoegaze a little and it's damn heavy. The vocals sound great and it's the best vocal performance from George Clarke yet. They feel so much more confident and realized than their last couple of albums.
