You know, Ludacris is really cleaning up on the singles this year. Besides How Low, he's got hit songs with Ciara, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Taio Cruz, Robin Thicke, and of course Khaled & Friends (plus another one with Trey Songz that could be moving up the charts soon). In fact, he's managed to maintain a high level of relavance ever since he hit it big back in 2000. Makes me wonder what the fuck happened to Nelly, who came out around the same time as Luda and was just as (if not more) popular for awhile there. That dude fell off like 5 years ago. I read a theory that there's simply a whole gang of Nellys out now (led by Drake?) and thus, no need for the original anymore. He just stayed away from the game for too long.

Nelly got rich as a mofucker, married Ashanti, who also got rich as a mofucker, and now ghostwrites and occasionally does shows.

RE:Nelly
Two years ago, his house in st loius that was like 45 minutes away from where i lived there, got broken into. These dumbasses broke in to fucking NELY's house, and they stole some video games and systems. Maybe some other little thing, too...but, man. I wouldve had the entire inside of the house in a truck if i was gonna go through with all that.

Guess you can't be mad at him for resting on his big stack of money, although I thought him and Ashanti split recently...

Eminem, Royce and Mr.Porter go in on Tim Westwood's show and drop this new freestyle. This is the full version.

Eminem's 3rd shit was craaaaaaaaazy.

"I ain’t seen that until went to Mike Jack’s,
Took the elephant man’s skull, f**ked it and put it right back,
Handed my d*ck to Bubbles while he sucked it and licked my nut sack,
Gave him a reach around while I f**ked him right in his butt crack,"

Full Eminem

I’m like a white Michael…Vick,
Psycho enough to stick Michael J. Fox in a microwave with a Rot,
I might make a little Alize with a side of Nyquil
and ride a motorcycle bike through the side of my high school,
Satan’s disciple with a sniper rifle and a knife
and a white diaper liable to s**t on you while I snipe you,
So dope he gets opiates what an appropriate way to start off his day,
He may just smart off to Dre,
He may be hard to contain ‘cuz his rage is so hard to gauge,
See Hannibal ate his face and then Jason gnawed off his leg,
Amazing hard on for razors and blades and anything sharp,
Even poisonous thoughts it all plays a major part of his game,
Only want em with watermark or affixes will do the trick,
He’s so sick its ridiculous, saw the crazy part off his brain,
He’s still insane, washing blood stains off of his carpet mayne,
There’s some crazy ish going on at Shady’s apartment again…

News flash, I’m still trashed them pills should have killed my ass,
But they didn’t they just made me stronger, it’s like they re-built my ass,
Like the six-million dollar man after the crash, it’s Aftermath b**ch,
And my milk glass, is still half-empty, yeah tempt me,
Hell isn’t enough they need to invent somewhere new to send me,
As sick as I’m getting they’ll stick me in a conventional oven
With the Rotisserie setting and won’t even notice me sweating,
s**t I done laid a verse, said some foul s**t,
Tried to go back, fix it, f**ked around and just made it worse,
Yah I’m back, looking no worse for wear,
Got these haters mad another rip out their hair and start punching the air,
Panties sewn in a bunch, and they can’t function,
It’s Shady and Royce, f**k yeah, what a dysfunctional pair,
So stop acting like a punk, get up here,
Take a pill out and fall the f**k out, spill your lunch in the chair,

I’ll do a hundred yards dash just to slap Kim Kardash on the ass,
With a shard of glass from Nick Hogan’s car crash,
You’ll end up like the passenger of that; don’t be a smart ass,
Yeah laugh while you sit there thinking that he hard part passed,
You ain’t seen pain until leather face flips mayne,
I’ll cut your f**king balls off homie my saws off the chain,
I chop the b**ch in half with it, sawed off her legs,
And the top half of the torso f**king crawled off, insane!
I ain’t seen that until went to Mike Jack’s,
Took the elephant man’s skull, f**ked it and put it right back,
Handed my d*ck to Bubbles while he sucked it and licked my nut sack,
Gave him a reach around while I f**ked him right in his butt crack,
Naw, I ain’t taking it back f**got, f**k that,
I give a f**k about nothing so here’s where you f**ked up at,
Don’t go touching that can man you don’t want to open up that,
Wait a min…ahh s**t, Alchemist, cut that.

Honestly, I think it's his best overall album, excluding The eminem show. Shows lots of growth and maturity as an artist and as a person. Punchlines are topnotch, hooks are good, production is amazing. The song with Lil Wayne samples "What is love"...in a good way. And You're never over (dedicated to Proof) samples the Lost Boys theme...more thoughts later.

Eminem ft Lil Wayne - No Love

God this is so bad. Wayne is desperately trying to recapture that 'I'm Me' magic but he can't rap anymore, the hook is embarrassing and Eminem's verse is just more of the same boring, empty technique designed to impress people who think 'more syllables = better than' trash that he's been putting out for the last two years. Anyone jockin for this garbage is a fuckin herb.

byron likes gucci mane and holds eminem to unrealistic expectations. You make it sound like multis are easy. Em runs circles around anyone when you combine his scheme, flow and now he's throwing in punchlines that make "punchline" rappers look like shit. I will say this. I thought the album would be empty verses with no concept or actual content but he came through. You have to listen to the album.

"Eminem's verse is just more of the same boring, empty technique designed to impress people who think 'more syllables = better than' trash that he's been putting out for the last two years."

Its called wordplay. The point of it is to make the words do impressive things...thats his style when he isn't putting out trash, and he is killing it.

I find it funny that you then posted a couple of rappers who basically do the same thing, just not as good as Em afterwards to show "good detroit rap".

Seriously, if Eminem was broke and no one had ever heard of him and dropped the same verses he drops now, you would be posting links and calling it real rap. You are hating the popularity not the content. You are on the "Michael Jordan isn't even that good" and "Tom Brady is not a good QB" level right now and its down right silly.

I was ready to give you props for posting invincible but you killed it all as I have browsed this thread and watched you call what you HAVE to know is impressive lyrical wordplay garbage.

Fine. I'm going to try to find YouTubes of every song on the album and liveblog it.

'Cold Wind Blows' - First actual lyric is "You can get the dick--call me the ballsack." Not a promising start. He's mentioned cocks like nine times in this one verse. This hook is horrible. If he raps the whole album in his tiring 'The Way I Am' ANGRY FLOW this is going to be really painful. Oh, a 'Michael J. Fox shakes a lot' joke. More references to dicks and butts.

'Talkin 2 Myself' - Man, judging by the first two tracks + the singles this album could set the record for most awful hooks collected in a single place. This is boring as hell. He's saying the same thing in every verse. I'm already regretting this. This hook is so so bad. This is only the second song and he's already namedropped Kanye like four times. I think someone's got a crush.

'On Fire' - First verse he calls out bloggers and busts out the idiotic 'If you can't rap you can't criticize' line of defense. Another awful hook. I can't tell the difference between any of these verses. "Why the fuck am I yelling at air?" I don't know, Marshall, but it would be nice if you'd stop. Haha a punchline about Michael Jackson's hair catching on fire...in 2010! lol

'Won't Back Down' - Hey another really shitty hook! Now I'm just hoping this can go a perfect 16/16 on shitty choruses. Finding a competent melody somewhere on this album would just be a disappointment at this point. Another Michael J. Fox joke. Swine Flu reference. He's still yelling. I don't know if I can take 12 more tracks.

'W.T.P' - Oh, WTP stands for 'White Trash Party.' 5/16 for bad hooks. I believe in you, Em! He's changed up the flow a little and now and it's sort of a relief. I guess this is supposed to be a Slim Shady song? Is he still doing that split personality thing? This is like the shitty rap version of one of those dumb country songs like 'Redneck Yacht Club' or something. I don't understand what this is doing on an album about coming back from drug addiction.

'Going Through Changes' - Just looking at the title I already know what this is going to sound like. Oh this is the Ozzy sampling song. jesus fucking Christ this album has some boring beats. First reference to Hailie (at least that I noticed--I've sort of been zoning in and out for a lot of these verses). Some actual nice rapping here on the part about Proof. First time on the album where it feels like he's not just going through the motions. And then he ruins it by warbling off key along with the hook. More nice rapping on the last verse but it's all just totally and meaningless cliches and platitudes. Like a rapping Chicken Soup for the Soul

'Not Afraid' - Not listening to this

'Seduction' - Saw the title and shuttered. The rapping sounds like '3 AM' without the accent, which means it's bad. 8/16. For some reason in the second verse there's this really awkward 'Awh' ad-lib thing inserted at the end of half the lines. Sample lyrics: 'There's a seven disc CD changer in that car and I'm in every single slot/and you're not.' 'I am also the opposite of what you are like/You're a microcosm of what I am on the mic.' TOP 5 RAPPER EVER.

'No Love' - already covered this

'Space Bound' - Ahahahha oh my god this hook holy shit. A line about 'getting the shakes' which didn't end with a MJ Fox punchline. Impressive. This is so incredibly boring I can't do this anymore I'm going to go listen to 'My Dad's Gone Crazy' and reminisce about the days when Eminem was worth listening to.

I didn't call them 'good detroit rap' I called them 'real Detroit rap,' by which I meant that they're a better representation of the city than a millionaire whining about his Ambien addiction.
