This is true, really. There are multiple songs about shoes, expensive liquor, and guns as a sex object/girlfriend analogy.

Jay goes with the trends, then takes out the parts he doesn't like and labels it his own. Kinda like Puffy, but not as insane.

Eminem changed his entire style form Infinite to his freestyle radio appearences/Rawkus shit to the SSLP to MMLP to the Eminem Show and the 8 Mile soundtrack. He has a completely different style for each album. Then came Encore, the drugged out album where he experimented with tons of crazy flows, sometimes it was awesome some times it was terrible. Then he Had the Re-up and some guest spots, but stuck to producking and cleaning up. Now he's back just waitin for somebody to challenge him. He's in battling mode, and nobody wants it with him. And he knows that.

He's throwing subliminals at Wayne on Forever and Drop the World. Wayne was talking shit, after Em ignored him begging for his attention a few years back. On the Relapse and Refill, he drops subliminals to tons of people.

Eminem is in it for the computation and to be able to call himself the GOAT, or rather, have everyone else call him that. He's got his money, he's cleaned up, and now he's come back to murder all the rappers that have been on top in his absense. At least the ones that are queering up the music. If he does it right from here on in, then he may very well end up being the best to ever do it. Right now, he's top 5, for sure.

Em is good but I wouldn't put him in my top 10.

This has always got me thinking, have we done a top 10 MC's list here? I love to see who everyone would have listed in their all time top 10.

Also, I really, really love this verse from Luda's "My Chick Bad":

Now your girl might be sick, but my girl sicker
She rides that dick and she handles her liquor
I know a bitch out aaaaand fight
Comin' out swingin' like Tiger Woods' wife

I think any list should have Eminem, Nas, Jay-Z, Kool G Rap, Rakim, 2Pac, Biggie, Big L, and KRS-One. As far as the last spot goes, some toss up between Andre 3000, Big Pun, Big Daddy Kane, Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, whoever else.
