Quick question: If there's a Pro Bowl or whatever to play afterwards, should we just skip past that?

Pro Bowl's before Super Bowl & it's MIA, so I'm assuming there's no Pro Bowl to play.

The offseason is basically the draft (we can do an actual live draft) and then we go straight to the following season after that.

Man, I couldn't do jack against the Ravens' D. I tried to do my cheap, bush-league screens and short passes, but it seems like they were sniffed out right away. I was able to move the ball somewhat, but then I forced a few deeper passes that led to picks. I have no complaints, though faking that punt at the end was a bit unsavory.

Good luck against that defense, Agent. It won't be easy.

I ran a Power O for the game-clinching first down in the final two minutes, called back by holding (at the last possible second holding too, he already had the first down & was stuck in a Pro-Tak animation).
I run a toss the other way that goes for a TD...called back for holding. (in retrospect I should've stalled on the goal line for a bit to waste more time)
I then forget there's a 25 second play clock after a penalty and get a delay of game against myself.
I finally get stopped on a third down, there's about a minute left, I call a fake punt run on 4th & 16, McClain picks up 17 yards, go out of bounds uncontested & then I take a knee.

I earned that first down, dag blast it. Stupid Madden refs with their pro-Patriots chicanery tried to steal it from me.

So it looks unlikely the Super Bowl is going to be played tonight which unfortunately means we'll have to go into our offseason after the holiday break (I'll be back on Jan. 5th) rather than tonight/tomorrow. In the meantime, we should all start hashing out a time that we can do our live draft.

I didn't realize this was going to be more than a one season league. I'm probably going to drop out, as I'm about to re-enter the working world and my time to meet up with people for Madden is going to be severely decreased.

Give us the power & we can advance it as soon as it's over. I don't know when that'll be, or what the offseason entails though. Shouldn't be much since there's no salary cap, really.

Also my XBL runs out at the end of January & I'm likely not renewing, so it'll be a "I stay until I can't stay no mores" situation unless somebody wants me out.

I was considering doing the same thing as well and with most of the same players as the other league, I might disband the league until I can't anymore as well.

TSMercury Morris gets to celebrate once more, as the Ravens offense is who I thought they were forgets when the Super Bowl is & forgets to show up. Flacco sails passes over his receiver's heads to a 9-25 day, Rice puts in 9 carries for under 50 yards & Vernon Davis does what Nintendon't PK couldn't in finding a spot to sit where all forms of my coverage merely refuse to travel over to him until he's caught the ball, regardless of where the fuck he is. Man, zone, I even called the dreaded Double Slot out of the dime & they still kept losing him.

Joke's on you, now I have the better draft pick (assuming we advance to the draft before February when my XBL runs out)!

Super Bowl was a week ago and no update or advancement since then..and with nearly half the league (along with VX) dropping off of XBL, it looks like Niner Fan is the TRTSM one and only Super Bowl champion.

I wouldn't mind taking a stab at running the league if people want it to continue but that'd be up to VX, seeing if it can be transferred over and getting a head count of who all wanted to continue on would be up for it.

Guess you missed the part about the "holiday break" we were doing until the 5th!

But yeah, I haven't checked in on the league since I got back from break, but I am trying to get an assessment of who's still willing to go forth with the league and who isn't. If all of us here are still in Matt Young's League, we'll just call this one an AFL and merge into his league. Don't think there's much reason (other than me having the Packers and others having their preferred squads) to do it otherwise.
