So...I'm pretty sure I have VX this week, right? After I get off work today, I'm laid off for 2 weeks (fuckin job, making me take 2 weeks UNPAID time off. Merry Christmas!) so I'm basically good any time after 4 PM or so.

You're Eastern Time Zone, right? You get off work about 5 hours before I do then technically, since I'm off at 6pm Pacific. I should be free to play anytime after that.

I COMPLETELY botched a home game against the fucking 4-10 (now 5-10, I guess) Seahawks which would've clinched me a first round bye and maybe homefield but nooooo now this game has to have meaning behind it. Blows.

28-10 Baltimore wasn't quite the stomping I was expecting so that wasn't so bad. Of course, that's because Baltimore dropped about half a dozen would be picks. It was pure luck that I only lost by 18, but that was fun. I still don't know how I got that onside kick back.

I didn't have the onside kick defense set up & the LB I was controlling (true to form for the game) dropped an easy catch & ricocheted it about 5 yards away from anybody else on the team right back towards your oncoming coverage squad.

So the Texans/Patriots game is for the bye, and the loser gets Pittsburgh. Raiders are set against SD. bps sits out wondering what might have been if I'd gotten in before him & taken Buffalo like I considered doing.

This fucking game jobbed me into two turnovers in my game with Broward. First, I'm tapping A to get the snap off before the playclock expires, but since I tap it a fraction of a second after the snap, the game thinks I want to throw a fucking lob straight up into the air. Then on a punt I'm jamming Y for a fair catch, but once agan the game is fucking retarded and doesn't give me one even though you can call a fair catch while running in the REAL NFL and Welker gets creamed for a fumble and the TD that seals the game. I can handle losing a competitive game, as this one was, but that's a fucking joke.

I've done both of those things before. The first one I think I actually did twice in my game against Broward.

And I don't think you can reeeeeally call a fair catch while running in the NFL. You can move to make sure you catch the ball (and you shouldn't be even touching the joystick in that case, which is what I've learned) but just pressing Y will work.

The first one is shitty luck and has definitely happened to me way more online than offline because of potential lag problems. Best thing to do is if you're under 7 seconds, don't even try to get the snap off, just call a timeout or take the penalty. Better than throwing a lame duck for a pick.

The pass: I thought you were trying to catch my D off guard as I was shifting it honestly. I've had that happen to me and figured you were doing the same.

The fumble: I didn't even think I'd get the fumble, much less get a hit on Wes due to the coverage pushing Reeves out of the play initially.

I hate that the game was basically decided by those two plays because it was a competitive as fuck game and even if I lost (which lets be honest, I was going to lose) I wouldn't have been too pissed about it.

Now I guess its time to wait to see where things go in the playoffs..

Just beat the Packers 21-7, despite VX being a little bitch and quitting with 30 seconds to go in the game. Ya know, with how much our QBs were killing us (Warner with the picks, and Rodgers with the fumbles) I'm shocked we didn't run the ball a hell of a lot more than we did.

Although I'm still trying to figure out...why did you fair catch that punt on the 2 yard line?

Yeah I'm sorry dude, way to be an asshole and fucking run up the score when you had the ball with 40 seconds left and I had no timeouts and you were on my 10 yard line. Give me a break man, that's a bitch move to do. Just kneel the damn ball.

You DID score, that was why I got pissed and dc'ed. Two timeouts from the 10 or 15 (that was not the 30) being down by two touchdowns? Come on man. Stop being an asshole.

Anyways, week advanced, wildcard round now. I'm going to take my anger out on the Cowboys so I can make sure to get a chance to punk out fazzle's bitch ass the next round.

I didn't get the D/C message on my screen until after your INT, and that Fitzgerald play action catch.

Either way, you have a chance to avenge your loss, just take care of business in the wild card round while I sit here in this big comfy chair waiting on you.

The Fitzgerald play action catch is what I'm referring to. There was 40 seconds left on the play clock, you were up by two scores and it almost looked like he got in for a touchdown. I just played simple base defense thinking you'd just run out the clock and we could move on. Whatever it's all good, water under the bridge and all, but I'm obviously going to have a score to settle.

Also the good news with the wildcard round is that we all have games against the CPU, so we should be able to move on from it pretty quickly. If everyone could play their games today we could move on to the next round right away which would be pretty cool.

Steelers-Patriots was closely contested in the first half as I took the opening kick and used almost the entire first quarter only to settle for a field goal leading to a 10-10 halftime score.

Then Pittsburgh fumbled on three consecutive plays (4 fumbes total) and I scored 35 unanswered points in the 2nd half for a 45-10 victory. Brady had 4 TD passes and a perfect rating while Derrick Burgess had two fumble recoveries and Gary Guyton recovered one on a kickoff for a TD.

You know what that means?

REMATCH!

This game wasn't as close as the 16-13 score would indicate, as the Panthers trailed 16-0 in the 4th.
